I was shopping on 87th St. with my five-year-old daughter. She wanted a snack so I decided to take her to Wendy’s. It was was nearby in the shopping center . I was very reluctant to stop at this location. I assumed the service would be terrible, after all it is on 87th & the Dan Ryan. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. The drive-through line was way too long. I thought by going in I would be in & out. I went inside and noticed that there were three kiosk. One was not working. A gentleman was very nice and stepped aside and let me order before him. I placed my order and tried to pay with Apple Pay. There was no option to pay. The kiosk said that my order was submitted. I went to the counter and told the young lady that I had submitted my order and I had needed to use Apple Pay. She asked me what was my order number and told me to wait. I had waited over 10 minutes for my order. The gentleman who let me step in front of him received his order. I told the young lady that I had ordered before him. Another young lady walked me back over to the kiosk and took my form of payment. After I paid, I had to waited an additional 5 to 7 minutes for her to make my order. I finally received my food. The fries were cold, super greasy and extremely disgusting. It’s my fault. I knew I shouldn’t have went in this Wendy’s, but I don’t think that as customers we deserve to be treated like this. There are a lot of young people working in this establishment. They were all swearing, loud talking and they all had bad attitudes. They were not friendly. They did not greet me. They all seem frustrated and overworked. One lady, I’m assuming she was the manager. She was walking around, swearing, voicing her frustration out loud. She appeared to be very frustrated. I heard her say something like, I have to do everything, everyone sitting around, looking stupid, I have to be security. She proceeded to slam one of the chairs underneath the table as she was trying to clean up. There were some migrants, I assume they were trying to pick up online orders, for a food delivery service. The Wendy’s workers seemed frustrated with them because they were trying to come into the store. I heard them say you have to go through the drive-through one of the migrants got into the store. I guess they had locked the doors. One of the workers asked him how did you get in here? I kept hearing them say don’t let anyone else in. The supervisor was arguing with someone at the window. It sounded like they were arguing over a link card. Overall, this was such a bad experience. I felt bad that my five-year-old had to witness this. It was way worse than what I’m including in this review. I just don’t have the time to type everything up. Food service should not be this way. I would suggest that whoever owns this location bring in a supervisor who is more seasoned m, who can supervise these young people and have this location running smoothly. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Just because this location is on 87th St. and your catering to a certain demographic does not mean that you have to treat them like garbage. This is unacceptable. Something needs to change. I’m not blaming the young people who work there. I’m blaming whoever owns this location. Get it together. It was extremely unorganized in there, and I feel like everyone was all over the place. One girl who was making fries had no gloves on. I understand that there’s a lot of young people working in there, but I feel like they need someone older to supervise them and make sure that the shift is running smooth. I will never go back into that...
Read moreThis was my first time ever going to this particular location. This is a fairly new location that has only been around maybe two to three years. Maybe I went on a bad day or the weather was just way too nice today for me to have something good to say about this location. This is the place were good people go to die comes to mind. Mayhem and bedlam is how they get down here!! It reminds me of the times I would go to the NYC back in the day and most food franchises we would visited consisted of screaming, yelling and always a fight probably about to go down soon! There is a separate station for food ordering but it isn’t thoroughly explained to newcomers so you end up not knowing exactly what to do when you get here. The cashier told me to my face that I wasn’t allowed to get extras on salad dressing - “only one pack is allowed, there is a shortage and sorry!!” Then it took forever before I was able to get my salad because the DRIVE IN is where it is at when it comes to GETTING THINGS IN HURRY and the rests inside THE RESTAURANT have to JUSTS WAIT! Then the Manager came flying out of NO WHERE, yelling and screaming to the front of the door, SECURITY HELP.....NO more FOLKS INSIDE there is a Pandemic, there is a Pandemic, only so many can be allowed in here, the rests have to wait outside!! Then something happened between her and one of the customer where it seemed like there was going to be a huge fight. By the way, she pretty much handled the situation by herself and Security just stood there and looked around like he had JUSTS lost his best friend. Then the Manager was yelling at one of employees that was walking around that restaurant like he wasn’t hired to work there but to walk the runway at Wendy’s. The more she kept yelling at him to do a certain chore the more he seemed lost and couldn’t find his way home. Yeah, maybe it wasn’t a good day to come to this location but for anyone that is desperate for some Wendy’s and need to come this location - pray first or do a quick sign of the cross before entering and taking a chance with...
