Soooo...I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday. Off the top customer service was horrible. Before arriving, I called to ensure they were still open for business. The lady who answered the phone spoke to me as though she was talking to someone else. I had to keep repeating myself. At this point, I was turned off. Yet, I continued to drive to the restaurant. Upon entering the establishment, no one greeted me. There were two people sitting at the table ( whom I presume was family members of the owners) and they did not speak. They just looked around, talked to each other, and laughed foolishly. As I stood there looking like a lost soul, finally a slow moving woman appeared from the back ( again) not speaking. I had to come up to the woman and tell her I placed an order. Twice, she asked me what did I order. I told her and eventually a second lady surfaced from the back with bags of food. She sits several bags on the table and begin to handle a guy that came into the establishment before me. I was so confused🤔 So, I waited until someone said what was next. Finally, after waiting for about 5 plus minutes, the lady who brought bags out said, " that's your food right there." I glanced at the bags like um, are you going to pass them to me? I grab the bags and head to the door for departure. The door was locked because some guy came in and locked the door while I was on the inside, how weird when it wasn't even 10 pm yet. I end up having to unlock the door myself and no one said bye, thanks for shopping. It was though they were accustomed to dealing with people like them. I was truly taken aback how I was treated. Oh and about the food, GROSS. I Ordered Egusi soup with fish and one with assorted meat. The meat was dark, tough to chew and unidentifiable. The rice taste like it had burned on the bottom of the pan, Yuck! They should've asked me if I wanted burned rice. Lord behold, the soup looked like someone regurgitated in it😫 I truly believe this place should be regulated by the food...
Read moreFood was decent (aside from them serving me a goat bone with zero meat on it and calling it meat) , but their dining room is absolutely disgusting. There's probably a full portion's worth of old food caked on to their dining room blinds, which look like they've never been cleaned. The walls are dirty, the tables are dirty, and the same indifference seems to carry over to the service, which borders on hostile.
If that's what they're comfortable having guests see, then I hesitate to imagine what their kitchen or bathroom look like. Wouldn't eat here again.
This is the kind of restaurant that people suspect of being a money laundering front. The food is mediocre, the service uniformly terrible, and it's an obvious health hazard. How they manage to pay their rent serving bad food with a bad attitude in the best food city in the world will remain a mystery. I hope they close and something better...
Read moreThe customer service here was very very bad. When I walked in the staff were sitting there (a woman behind the counter, 2 women at a separate table- one was the cook who took my order). They did not speak or smile when I walked in even after I smiled and said hello. I honestly felt unwelcomed at the way they stared at me. It took a minute for the woman to address me and take my order she just looked at me and it didnt seem like she really wanted to. When she past me my food I said thank you and smiled and she just turned and walked away. I dont think it was anything personal because they did the same thing to two other people that came shortly after me. Because of how uncomfortable they made me I wont be going back there and would not recommend this...
