Dat Donut — Restaurant in Lake View Township

This is their second location, practically underneath the brown line Wellington station--their original location being on the South Side. It's a small space with only several little, round tables to eat while standing up, so very utilitarian and unpretentious. Oh, but the doughnuts! Now, that's another thing altogether. I had the strawberry doughnut (delicious) and their Lavazza coffee, served in a pink cup. All I can say is, this place delivers a great doughnut and coffee for a really good price, and the customer service was superb (thanks, Tina!) I hope they open more locations all over Illinois, and perhaps in other states as well. By the way, their slogan, "Too good to dunk" is genius. They were offering free donuts to promote this new donut shop, and I don’t say no to free stuff! The glazed donut was soft and fresh, and they had cold brew which I liked but I’m also not picky about coffee. The shop looks nice, with cute pink decor, and the employees were all welcoming.
