Okay, firstly I want to say that I'm giving this 3 stars based solely on what we didn't get to experience but probably would have enjoyed had we not left before hand due to the horrendous service.
I'm not one to normally leave a bad review, but this was a bad experience from the jump, that not only led us to leaving before getting the full experience, but ultimately left a poor demeanor in the rest of our night and ultimately cutting the night short all together.
My first issue was at the door. They required covid vaccination cards to enter without a mask. That wouldn't be a problem if they had posted this before pre purchasing reservations, because nobody carries that around with them. We are vaccinated, but we've never faced that issue. What makes it worse, is that once we got inside, the system was entirely out the window.
The broken system continued on from there. Not only did they not check our reservations, but the explained nothing about the prepaid reservations system, and guided us nowhere. We enexed up somehow just falling into the system before one of the only good things about this place had put us in the right direction.
His name was RoRo. He explained the system and we then ordered our pre paid drinks. However the system from there was horrendous. Three orders that were not ours came to our table, and no napkins came when our food finally came. I stepped to the bar to look for napkins and the lady doing art work said she could not go behind the bar. Fair enough except that she refuse to ask them for us and the bar was stacked with people ordering drinks, and she refuse to spare even one that she had behind her because those were for her artwork. Again, not entirely a problem except when we asked a man that worked there for napkins, he asked the people ehind the bar for us and not only would they not help us, but the would not help this gentleman. This gentleman went to another area if the bar and found us napkins. While I didn't get his name he was a black gentleman about 5'10" with a replay shirt in and a camo face mask. Him and Robin were the only good things here.
The food order when it finally came out was weong, wrong at this point after speaking with other customers and staff that most people were unsatisfied with the service entirely. There was no control over the establishments system. When we finally decided to walk around and we asked for another bag, because the man cleaning tables had accidentally scoop one of ours while cleaning, he said we have no more. Firstly, that's ludacris to not have enough supplies to meet the demand. And secondly why touch the bags then? He then went to ask a manager and this manager continued walking right by not even looking ours or his way and swatted his hand backwards towards us almost in disgust. This show of disrespect was the last straw. We did not walk around to enjoy the games, and we walked right out.
Our experience and our night was ruined by the lack of empathy and care for the paying customers. Not only for ourselves, but for everyone around us, and any decent staff. It's...
Read moreThe only reason it gets two stars is because of the game selection. My wife and I are visiting from out of town and was told they show Game of Thrones. I called and whoever picked up the phone was rude and hung up after a fast "yeah". Should have known not to go then. We get there and the place looked awesome. Thry have all kinds of GoT stuff set up everywhere. Rudely met at the door by a guy who just said "IDs", checked them, handed them back, and then just looked at his phone. We stood there for a few seconds before we asked if we were good to go and he only half replied with a shake of his hands. Now again, the place looks great and has great games. Services sucks hard. There are people sitting as 3 different bars and employees walking in and out of all of them. Never mentioned that only 1 is serving. After flagging down a guy behind a the 2nd bar I walk to and him walking off, I give up. It's almost 8pm and we just want to watch the show. We find 2 seats and sit. I end up seeing a bar in another area that is decorated like Fyre. Ask for a local beer and neither bartenders know if any beer is local or not. End up getting a random beer and two waters. Whatever. At 8pm, they can't get the show on. At 8:15, I see another bar with someone behind it, order one more beer, am given the wrong one as he walks off, finally flag him back down and ask for the right one, given excuses about how a white can with gold lettering looks like a green one with a rainbow taco cat on it, get it and leave. I tell my wife let's go, we will just watch it in our hotel room. We leave at 8:25 with the guy who is trying to search for somebody's personal HBO Go code to show the episode, which is illegal.
I have been in the service industry 20+ years and have no clue how, besides the games, this place is open. Rude all around, staff who has no clue on what they are even selling, and not even being slightly prepared for their own events. Avoid drinking here at all cost. Go play some decent...
Read moreThe 2nd kitchen company that replay Lincoln park bar uses is okay. I've ordered food from them two times and both times the food was tasty and they cater to the theme of whatever the bar is replicating. There is a 5 item limited menu though on both times I went. You also don’t order through the restaurant. You order through a third party that delivers so you still pay delivery or service fee and tip.
The staff at the place is friendly for the most part. The music and vibe is great. Honestly, my experience with the Stranger Things in October last year was much better. After our table was up we were still able to go inside and play and keep ordering more drinks. The decor was also really cool.
The second time around with The Office theme, the decor was cool but a little underwhelming. I like that they have free (limited) arcade games. But what I didn't like is that they were busy so we had a 5 minute warning our table was up, which we understood. So we got up to play games, thinking we were still going to be able to keep a tab open and order drinks. But no, we asked twice and both times we were told we could walk around but we cannot order more drinks unless we reserve another table, IF there were any available. We were highly annoyed. We drove an hour just to come to this place. We just left. Our waiter was nice but could've came back to our table more often than 3 times.
The drinks from the stranger things were better than the office ones. But still pretty cool menus.
I would like to see them do a krusty krab pop up since I didn't come to the last one. I guess I'll leave it with I'll be back for another pop up if it's cool or I'm really into despite my experience, but probably...
