Note to the owner: when customers feel your food is a poor value, it's not a great idea to double down and say "no one forced you to order them." Yes, I saw the price in advance. What I didn't see was the size. You don't have indoor anything, you're admittedly keeping inside for storage, and you wrap everything in foil, including 2+ tacos, in the same wrapping, so it's impossible to tell how much you're getting. Fish taco with two small pieces of fish is $4.99. Other small tacos are 3.50 each, and I was charged 3.99 for a Topo Chico mineral water rung in as "misc". I'm aware it is from Mexico, but it's not 3.99 everywhere. Topo Chico is sold by the case at the grocery store for a little over $1 per bottle and is usually $2 all over town. With tax and only one drink, lunch of 3 tacos each was $44. I received one chipotle sauce (2 oz) for buying 3 tacos. That's too little sauce for 3 people. When there's no service and you have to ask for a bottle opener for your drink and are not offered one, and the only seating is next to a busy road, the price is impossible to justify, especially when you are hungry afterwards. Thanks for not charging me 7 cents for the plastic bag I didn't want or need (we ate outside) and the bottled water tax of 5 cents. I appreciate saving 12 cents. Also if you had a big container of water and some reusable cups, you wouldn't need to save the 3 percent soda tax because a lot of people would get a water cup. Lack of taking onboard feedback, total lack of hospitality...never again.

I went to Edgewater Tacos for lunch and ordered 2 carnitas tacos with cilantro and onion as well as an elote (street corn). It took about 13 minutes to get my food after ordering as everything is cooked to order. The tacos were delicious!! The carnitas were juicy, tender, well seasoned. I wish I ordered three more. The elote was great as well, nothing too crazy. Highly recommend!! The tacos are $3.50 each which is on the more expensive side of street tacos but truly they are worth it. You can taste the freshness. This restaurant only offers take out orders. You can order and wait for your food in their awning. No seating available even while waiting for your food.

Patty, the owner, is always friendly and inviting! (She even offered us a little bowl for the puppy's water!) The new patio area was great for those looking to eat right away, as ET had closed their indoor dining during 2020. The food is still amazing as ever though, with a few special favorite items to highlight being: Mangonada, Asada tacos and tostadas, al pastor tacos, chocoflan, some traditional green salsa that will have your mouth watering for more, and in-house made horchata!

I don't recommend this restaurant, and here's why: The owner is very combative and attacks customers whenever there are issues with their orders. I had a few incidents. Here's my side.

The first time I ordered a Quesibirria dinner, I got 2 skimpy quesadillas instead. I called the restaurant to let them know that my order was wrong and the owner immediately told me if it was my fault, apparently I didn't order correctly. I expected 3 Quesibirrias tacos, but instead I got 2 skimpy quesadillas... And then she wanted to charge me extra money for the cheese, because her "Quesibirrias" don't come with cheese, 🙄even though the cheese (Quesi) is implied in the name of the food. That's like advertising cheeseburgers and then getting a hamburger, and then charging extra for the Cheese. I told her to forget it, and I would never order from her again... And then she said she's replace my dinner, free of charge. So I said okay. The food was tasty and I enjoyed it very much.

A few days later I decided to order from them again and this time it was steak nachos. Everything was great, except for the guacamole, which was old, brown and rotten. 🤢🤮 I was so disappointed, especially after playing $19 for them and then getting rotten guacamole was just a giant disappointment. But it was too late to call to complain, so I let it go.

So yesterday, for some reason, I ordered steak nachos again. And once AGAIN the guacamole was old, brown and rotten. 🤢🤮🤮🤮 I called to complain and I was immediately called a liar! The girl on the phone tried to gaslight me into believing that their guacamole was made fresh, everyday and I mistaken. Grrr! I was insulted! Not only am I Mexican, but I've also worked in kitchens, for many years, so I know what old guacamole taste like! So I said, let me speak to the owner. I was told she wasn't there and would call me back. I never got the call back. I through it away.

I finally got a call back a day later and once again the owner became super combative and started yelling at me.. She told me that I was being too demanding and unreasonable and she couldn't possibly please everyone and then called me a food snob, because I didn't want to eat her rotten guacamole. She kept taking over me and didn't even let me talk... At all! SO I HUNG UP ON HER!

This is just unacceptable! This lady clearly doesn't know how to handle customer service over poor food quality issues and will attack her clients instead.

SO UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING YELLED AT, BY THE OWNER, OVER POOR FOOD QUALITY, THEN YOU'LL LOVE THIS PLACE!

OTHERWISE THERE ARE WAY BETTER RESTAURANTS WITH BETTER QUALITY GUACAMOLE AND WITH RESTAURANT STAFF THAT IS MUCH FRIENDLIER AND ARE MUCH BETTER AT CUSTOMER...

The food is great but the customer service is a joke. I order guacamole just salt and lime. What we received was a tiny serving of guacamole with everything in it. I was under the assumption that we paid for a full size since we were never ask about size. So since the food was great I called to have them give us a credit for the guacamole since we would be returning. Well the girl says that she asked us if we wanted 2, 4, 8 oz and that we said 2 and that’s we received. I let the size go and said it’s still not what I asked for. I asked for guacamole with just lime and salt and then she says “we make our guacamole with everything.” She needed to communicate that while we were placing the order not after we paid, picked it up, and brought it home. How are you going to mislead people? We literally went back and forth. She said that they only give credit when they mess up an order but since they didn’t because we received a 2 oz guacamole we weren’t entitled to a credit. You can’t give people what you want to give them and expect us to be ok with it. Next time tell people that you don’t make guacamole to order and you wont lose business..

**please don’t lie, we were not told about the avocado being made every hour because if we were we would’ve simply passed on the guacamole. There are restaurants that make guacamole to order and some that don’t, and that’s completely fine. We’re essential workers as well. The lies that you guys kept tell us rubbed me the wrong way. I was willing to ignore the size(which was NOT mentioned) and just pointed out the guacamole wasn’t what I ordered instead of saying “hey we’re human we messed up.” The lady on the phone continued to lie and give us a completely different story than what happened over the phone and now the same goes with the response. Accountability goes a long way. We didn’t even want a refund we were ok with credit because we planned on being returning customers but not anymore. You win some and...

I know this place is a small business, and me and my fiance have loved this place for a long time and we even got this for family gatherings at times. We got an order of sopes, tacos, and rice. We tried looking on the website, but it's a disaster on mobile view. We had to navigate to their facebook page to get the menu. We placed a to go order, and everything should have come out to $65 based on that menu on facebook. We also figured it was accurate because it was a featured post, and they update their page pretty regularly. However, when picking it up it was 90$+ which is pretty outrageous as it is, but after double checking the website after having to open it up on a desktop the prices were completely different on the website. That being said, I know the price is listed on the website, that's fine, and that is the correct pricing it seems. But to avoid confusion and make it easier on people, keep the menus consistent on all platforms because this created a situation where we felt ripped off. Not saying we were, and after calling, and being given a rude response, it felt that way. It's sad because we want to see small businesses like Edgewater Tacos succeed, but this just rubbed us the wrong way. Small businesses should still be ethical about these situations and make it easier for the consumer. We also did not get an itemized receipt which also added to the confusion. We will give the benefit of the doubt, but please listen to the feedback and update your menus appropriately on all platforms. We hope to return soon.

Update 1: Just got an itemized receipt texted from the owner. She was extremely apologetic and asked her manager to update the menus on all platforms. Id also like to ammend this review to state that they do listen, and do care. I am upping this to four star from three for the quick response and heartfelt and very personable apology. We will give this place another...
