I have been a proud Little India customer for about 10 years, and my husband and I are very grateful that we continue to live within a delivery range - though, we would continue ordering for pickup or going to dine in if we stray farther!
Everything from The Little India is great - the samosas are always perfect and our favorite dishes never disappoint. If you're looking for spicier options, their madras curry is the best in the area and really bright in flavor. Other 'staples' like chicken tikka masala, tandoori grilled foods, chana masala, and the naan bread are great. If you want to try a different bread, we highly recommend the bhatura - fluffy, and scoops up lots of food, an a+ alternative to the fork. We're also big fans of dal makhani, the least boring lentil dish you'll eat. There's always good balance in the dishes, and each is different from the rest. None of the curries "taste the same".
There have been periods of my life where I've ordered more than once a month, especially when I was living alone in Rogers Park and had limited cooking time. It's now something we try to budget for as one of our takeout go-to meals in this time where everything is more expensive.
If you aren't sure where to start, the lunch buffet is a perfect option as you can give lots of dishes a try and then figure out what your preferences may be in the future. Many of my friends and I agree that The Little India is the best on the northside.
It's important to support and keep our local businesses thriving - and we're happy to continue being well...

I asked if the lunch special ($9, I thought) was still going on. He said yes. I gave my order, pointing at the special as I said it. I made sure to ask if he added a mango lassi too. He said yes. The total came to $22 when I figured it should have been about $15 with tax. Weird, but I was too shy to argue and the receipt didn't show anything for proof. I came back and picked up my order and the lassi wasn't made. He apologized but made me pay for it so my order came to $26 in the end. For one meal. What? I got a takeout box of just rice, a container with my entree, and one naan.
If I order from here again, it will be online. Good food and nice guy, but maybe they need to redo the menu if the lunch special is actually $9 with the caveat that you must order 2 entrees. This would explain the price difference but unfortunately it...

Our family comfort happiness time is Indian food. From my own childhood and with my own kiddos now. All regions honestly, but when we find an awesome place with good folks- we are the most happy.
Today after a long day of mishaps we needed comfort in the form of food. And we are not disappointed. Thank you Little India for a later dinner delivery for us, it was everything we needed and all the flavors were perfect. Thanks for keeping it on the mild/medium side for my kiddos and we can’t wait to return again.
Also the delivery driver was wonderful. Really really happy to be able to live so close and enjoy & share in your amazing flavors, combos, spices, mixes...
