Horrible. Hearltand housing has not supplied the residents of this building security for 5 months. There is no one to protect anyone off the street from coming to the building. The intercom system as not worked for 3 years. Pipes have burst and flooded the front lobby. Habitat Company which manages the building has been slow and in answering tennant concerns. There is now 1 working elevator thay may not be fixed for over 2 months. There are senior citizens who need to be able to use the elevators to leave out do shopping or visit the doctor. We found out last week that Heartland Housing is having a lot of money problems and can't adequately support not only Hollywood House but all of its properties. They have been sitting or mismanaging federal funds (HUD) since 2021. Those monies were earmarked for Hollywood House. Heartland is now going to sell the building but the new owners are not known. The city of Chicago Department of Housing has launched a full scale review of the handling of Hollywood House. This has been a horror show for the residents of the building.
