El Taco Toro — Restaurant in Lake View Township

We recently dined at Taco Moro with a large group of 20 family members for dinner, and our experience was exceptional! We called ahead to inform the manager, and they were incredibly accommodating. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly, which was impressive for such a large group.

The tacos were superb—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We appreciated the variety on the menu, which catered to everyone’s tastes, including some fantastic vegan options like the falafel burritos. Each dish we tried was delicious, showcasing the quality and care put into the food.

The refreshing cold drinks were a hit, especially on a warm evening, and the complimentary ice cream bars at the end of our meal were a delightful surprise that everyone enjoyed. Mohamed, the manager, and person who took the orders went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome.

Now I’ve eaten Mexican all across the city. I think the only reason this restaurant has good reviews is because of the area. Most the people in the area apparently don’t know what a good taco taste like. I’ve ordered here a twice, was disappointed the first time and disgusted the 2nd time. They do not use good quality steak. I ordered an elote and it had more butter and mayo in the cup than corn. Not exaggerating either. It looked like soup and just hurt my stomach by looking at it. Their chicken asada has to be the worse I’ve ever tried. The only good thing I can say from my experience is that they have good salsa. I had ordered nachos, extremely disappointed. Tried the shrimp tacos, and it’s missing a lot of flavor. Tried a steak tostada, and their steak was terrible. Nothing could convince me to try something else to end up disappointed. Drive out of the area for good tacos....
