George Street Pub — Restaurant in Lake View Township

The food here was alright, I don't think a burger and fries of that quality should be in the neighborhood of $20 considering the menu on Google showed that they were only $10. The burger was pretty decent though, so I can't be too upset.

However, the service was not so good. Our server did an ok job but he was a little rude. I asked him what the specials were, and he just repeated what was on the sign when we walked in. He did not tell us what the specialty drink actually was or what kind of beer was on the special. My friend and I got the special beer and it was good but jeez can we get an explanation. It wasn't even on the menu!

We ordered 3 burgers and 1 came out about 10 minutes before the others, even though he said he would "put them all in at the same time to make sure they come out at the same time." Then he has the audacity to ask us how everything is tasting when only 1 of us even has our food.

Just a weird experience, and he said he couldn't split our check even though the menu said that they can split checks with up to 8 cards. I probably...

I had the shrimp poor boy sandwich and it was very good but could have had a little more shrimp in it. My friend had the jambalaya soup and it was by very good too but could have been it a little larger. The cheese curds were great. The service was excellent but it was a little too cold in there to have a great dinner. We had to wear our coats while we ate to enjoy the dinner. We had Pinot Grigio and it was large and very good.
