After reading all the wonderful reviews we were excited to try Andiamo's. We chose a rosemary focaccia and suppli for appetizers. The focaccia was not focaccia -- It was a dry crispy something (like a thick cracker) with barely any dried rosemary sprinkled on top, could not taste it. The suppli may have been good but we were disappointed because as vegetarians 2 of us couldn't even taste it -- the menu said it was filled with sauce and rice, and it came with meat. I ordered the Margherita pizza and was so sorely disappointed. It was a plain grated cheese pizza with almost zero sauce and a few basil leaves. No fresh mozzarella. Most definitely NOT a Margherita pizza by any stretch of the imagination. The other pizzas were okay but nothing special. My daughter has lived in Rome and Florence and said in no way, shape, or form was this Italian pizza, especially the crust was very disappointing. We went on a slow night (Sunday) and chose to eat outside, which also influenced our experience as we had to walk through the kitchen (illegal) and a storage room and directly past several rat bait boxes to get to the outdoor dining area in back. To their credit, the prices are very reasonable, the service was fine and the food came quickly. I believe it was the owner who brought us a complimentary dessert. Will not be...
Read morePizza was fresh and decent. The woman who took our order was very nice and polite. The three stars are specifically for her service and decent food. The man who actually made the pizza (maybe owner?) was pretty disrespectful. I had a coupon that I PURCHASED which offered $10 off - the coupon DID not have any expiration date (clearly stated). The guy got VERY upset that we wanted to use the coupon. He yelled at me from behind the counter muttering about how I am trying to use a coupon and how they don't offer it anymore. USUALLY- actually 10/10 times, even if the place does not offer the coupon anymore but the coupon CLEARLY is not expired, they STILL honor it & say "this is the last time" BUT this man was not only rude to me and my husband but also refused to honor it. At the end of the meal after paying $30 for the 2 pizzas, I spoke to him in a very civil manner telling him he should take this coupon OFF the website I got it from if it is not valid. At this point, I DID not want the $10 off but wanted to let him know that it is NOT okay to yell at customers. He then accused me that I had been there before (rudely). This was my first time. Will...
Read moreNothing redeeming whatsoever I came here with my kids looking for reasonably quality Italian meal. The garlic bread was dry and inferior to Target garlic toast. The artichoke dip was just bizarre and tasteless. The pepperoni pizza my kids ordered was covered in pools of grease. My manicotti was bland and heavy. We felt nauseated and my kids ate a small portion of a slice of pizza. We took nothing home Maybe this place used to be good or it’s for the grandparent local crowd who don’t have a palate that knows fine dining. Disgraceful and what I’d expect from a small rural town.
Short answer, go downtown. Either one. Unless you like to drink 3-4 glasses of wine and deluding yourself...
