Not sure if I will be coming back here till they improve their customer service.
I’ve been to this restaurant many, many times, and while the food is sometimes okay, the customer service almost always falls flat. Staff are stiff, unexpressive, and barely speak — even when asked for recommendations. Despite the fact that I am a regular customer. The music is consistently unpleasant, completely killing the vibe. Why are vulgar songs even playing at a restaurant like this??
On one visit, we weren’t allowed to choose our own table even though the restaurant was nearly empty. That just felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.
On my most recent visit today, I ordered a aaloo paratha, and it was completely bland. No taste, no seasoning — just flavorless. I politely asked for it to be taken back and initially agreed when they offered to remake it. But a few seconds later, I changed my mind and asked them not to. I just wanted the bill for the other item I had. When it came, we weren’t even sure if we were charged for the dish that was sent back — there was no breakdown, no clear explanation. And even though the server clarified that she hadn’t added it to the bill, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the poor quality, no basic courtesy. Just… cold indifference. For a place in the hospitality industry, that kind of attitude is, frankly, rude.
In contrast, there’s one new server I’ve seen before who actually smiles, speaks confidently, and makes you feel like you’re welcome. I even told her she’s doing a good job — I hope the rest of the staff learns from her. Unfortunately, she wasn’t there this time.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews unless something is consistently off. I’m a regular restaurant reviewer and usually find ways to be fair. But this place needs a serious rethink in terms of customer service and hospitality. Until then, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Edited: I did, in fact return. Everything has improved by miles. The music is great, so are the people working there. The new manager is sweet and caring. Had a great conversation with him! Got an amazing, warm vibe from the people and this precious sense...
Read moreVery fast delivery and ingredients seemed quite fresh. The quantities were also very good value for the money. I had the Samosa, Dal Makhani, and Saag Paneer. Overall, I thought that while the meal was light and probably pretty healthy, it did not hit the spot with classic, complex flavors.
Samosa - both of the samosas were very large which made up for the slightly higher price of $4.00. This was definitely the best part of the meal, with flavorful potatoes and well-balanced flavors.
Garlic Naan - the naan could have definitely used more flavor, and was a bit soft. Did not have a 'tandoor char' which is what usually makes naan taste so good, and there wasn't the slight amount of sweetness in the dough which makes basic naan addicting and delicious. Definitely not worth the $4.00 per naan.
Saag Paneer - there was something missing from the flavor, I think it could have definitely used a bit more salt and onion. The texture was great - I really like paneer dishes that cut the paneer into smaller pieces than cubes so that the flavor can be tasted throughout the whole dish, but this one was missing the flavor. I also probably should have asked for it to be spicy, so this might have been slightly my own fault.
Dal Makhani - this did not taste like traditional Dal Makhani and tasted a bit more like a Southwestern chili. Not a bad flavor but definitely not what I was expecting. There was definitely more tomato than onion in the tomato/onion ratio, and I definitely was missing the creamy makhani texture.
Overall, I think I would have preferred a few more complex flavors, and I found the food to be slightly bland for my tastes. I may have just not had it on the best day, so I will try again in the future and hopefully have...
Read moreI have ordered from this place so many times through various apps, and it was always reliably good. Today, however, items I’ve always been able to count on were all quite disappointing. The malai kofta was fine, but lacking the flavor that I remember it having. The butter chicken was a bummer. I ordered medium heat because it usually still has a good amount of kick, but tonight the sauce was sweet, no heat at all. The butter naan was a really big letdown. I always get two orders because it’s usually so good I have a hard time holding back and saving any for my leftovers. It also usually has a little bit of sheen from the butter that it’s cooked in. Tonight, I hate to say it, but the naan tasted like it was frozen, or at least not made in house the same day and definitely not with butter. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the naan was very dry, nothing like their usual. Lastly, I ordered the kale pakoras because when I ordered the vegetable pakoras previously, the kale pieces were by far my favorite. Tonight, I almost didn’t recognize them. I think they were fried in oil that was too hot because the outside was dark/burned and the inside was completely undercooked with raw batter. Overall, everything tastes like it was made in a rush, and the pakoras...
