Celebrating a friend's birthday at Happy Lamb Hot Pot turned out to be an unforgettable experience that went beyond our expectations. From the moment we mentioned we were there for a celebration, the staff went out of their way to make our evening special, displaying warmth and attention to detail that made us all feel celebrated. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its cozy and inviting decor, set the perfect tone for a memorable birthday dinner.
The hot pot experience itself was exceptional. The variety of fresh ingredients, from succulent meats to crisp vegetables, paired with their signature broths, made for a deliciously interactive meal that everyone enjoyed. The broths were rich and flavorful, providing the perfect base for our chosen ingredients, and the sides and sauces added an extra layer of taste and texture that elevated the whole experience.
The staff's thoughtful gestures, like bringing a small cake and singing 'Happy Birthday,' added a personal touch that truly made our friend's day. It was not just a meal but a celebration of friendship, food, and the joy of sharing both at Happy Lamb Hot Pot.
The restaurant's commitment to quality, both in terms of food and service, was evident throughout the evening. It's a place that understands the importance of celebrations and goes above and beyond to ensure they're memorable. We left Happy Lamb Hot Pot with full stomachs, warm hearts, and plans to return soon. It's not just a restaurant; it's a place where happy memories are made, and for that, we are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first hotpot experience, and I have to say Iām quite conflicted. I understand it was the grand opening of this specific location but there were quite a few missteps on the part of staff.
For beginners the folks running the front of house were extremely disorganized with how they were taking down names, my name was put right in the middle of a square filled out with names already. Which lead to some confusion and left my party and I waiting for much longer than our quoted wait time.
Then on to the meal. While initially excited, we received no instruction on ordering process, cooking process, or were even let in on the entire appetizer table in the back with free accoutrements. Iāve been to Korean BBQ restaurants and regardless if itās our first or thirteenth time they explain how the process works. Waitstaff was hardly attentive, we received our ordered rice 10 minutes in, our broth 20 minutes after that, and our meat 10 minutes after that. The manager did apologize and gave us some things to try to improve our experience and I am grateful for that.
The biggest, and perhaps worst misstep is that when I paid my credit card was returned to the wrong table. Luckily the other patron was kind and returned me my card, but to think if my card gotten delivered to someone else? Who knows what might have happened. I really did want to like my experience, but the dining experience left much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI made a reservation at Happy Lamb for dinner today specifically because it was NOT a self serve hot pot place. To my disappointment though, it seems they've changed that. They bring you the lamb or premium items directly to the table, as well as the broth, but everything else you had to wait in line to get yourself. It was loud (why are you playing rave music during dinner?), chaotic, the kitchen staff were running in and out of the doors adjacent to the food area and bumping into you, there was a lot of raw meat/raw seafood/veggie cross contamination, despite what I am sure was their best effort to minimize it. With a busy Friday night crowd I just don't think it's a good system for anyone. It was overwhelming and exhausting, and forget about it if you have accessibility concerns. If you go with more than four people, the poor people nearest the pot in the center of the table will get splashed with hot soup and almost always have someone's arm in their face. We were a party of six and it was wildly difficult and uncomfortable with just one broth pot. The food quality was also just okay, the spicy broth wasn't spicy and most of the veggies were pretty sad looking. š
The garlic beef and sesame...
