My experience was horrible with D Cuisine! I ordered directly from the restaurant’s website for a future order at 10:15 am pick up on Saturday, Dec 5th. I ordered at 9:35 am and the website said that 10:15 am was available for pick up. Restaurant listed online and on window of restaurant that they are opened at 8 am. The time they actually opened is at 10:30 am. I have called in the past to order my food and someone mentioned that they will be opened at 10 am.
Unfortunately, I arrived at 10:10 am and the lights were off and the D Cuisine was NOT opened. It finally opened at 10:30 am.
I got there and asked if my 10:15 am order was ready for pick up, the young woman worker-CiCi stated that it will be another 15 minutes. First, I was promised 10:15 am. Second, they charged my credit card already. My order was paid for. Third, I had to deal with an unprofessional CiCi who just said that she came late to work and sorry for being late. I asked for the manager's name. CiCi refused to give me her manger’s name or contact information.
Regardless, if you are open or not, don’t allow customers to order ahead on your direct website if you are going to be late or not open until 30 mins after the stated time.
When I came back after 15 mins like CiCi said, she said my turnip cakes were not ready yet. I overheard her speaking Cantonese to the cook and stated that I was “arrogant” customer. I am not arrogant because I called you on being 30 mins late to work. Making a paying customer wait 33 mins extra when you promise food at a specific time and to call a customer "arrogant" in a different language does not make it okay. This is unacceptable.
I spoke back to her Cantonese instead of English. CiCi was surprised that I spoke fluent Cantonese. Not only was CiCi being unprofessional for showing up late but to call a paying customer "arrogant" is not acceptable regardless if you think I don't spoke the language or not.
Finally , I got my order at 10:48 am, 33 mins after the promised time and CiCi who refuses to give me the manager’s name. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I will make sure, I contact the BBB about the horrible service I received.
I later called D Cuisine around 8 pm, to find the manager of D Cuisine. CiCi answered and told me that Benny was the name of the manager and he was not at the restaurant currently. About 1 hour later, Benny gives me a call and poor excuses for the misleading information out there opening times and excuses for the lateness of CiCi. He informed me that CiCi is actually the OWNER OF D CUISINE! I was shocked by this. How do you have the OWNER asking their manager to call me back, when clearly she could have handled it because you are the owner. I wanted to support local businesses during pandemic, but this experience makes it hard to do so. I told Benny how unprofessional and unacceptable this experience was. He refunded my order, but if this was handled properly to begin with, this should have been done right when I got my food at 10:48 am (33 minutes after...
Read moreI want to share my Horrible Traumatic and discriminated experienced in D’Cuisine at 2723 N. Clark St. Chicago iL. 60614. My Little girl and I went there Saturday night, as we came in we were not greeted, we sat and waited to be serve. a lot of customers came in before us and they were serve already greeted and given a menu except Me and my child. So i went to the counter and asked one of the Chinese worker and He immediately said we only serve customers who gave tips. So, This Chinese restaurant, these men who works there refused to served us because a week ago We dined-in and i have exact cash to pay and He asked me for a tip and i said “Not this time because i have cash and it’s just enough to pay for our Meal cost” and after a week we came back with Child and thats what happened. Look, i understand they only get more on tips but You can not forced to ask for a tip, you can not refused to served your customers especially we are paying the food we ordered, we did not violated any rules from your restaurant and On top of this you can not Discriminate any customers and let them Leave because you are only after for a tip. This is not the first time that happened to us, some of my friends also had a bad comment, because this guy who always works there is giving us an attitude everytime he was not satisfied for a tip. This is against the law, We paid to much for the food, we ordered a lot most of the time and Do not expect to get a descent tip with your nasty attitude. I respect your job because i also worked in a restaurant but if the customers has a tip or not It’s your job to serve them with respect, you can not discriminate me or anyone of us, it was very traumatic for my child because she heard everything. And i want to take action of this if you did this to us ,You will for sure do this to random customers. You get into a wrong person, it was a racial discrimination, against the law and you will pay for what you did. You have to treat all your customers fairly. Karma will get you not now but just wait. You are so heartless, i am seeking for justice, you have no conscience my child was hungry and waited to be served, we dine-in because i have money to pay but you refused and told us to leave because you are expecting for a tip. You are unprofessional people like you should not be in...
Read moreD Cuisine is an absolute hidden gem that offers not just a meal but a culinary experience. The moment I stepped in, I was enveloped by a relaxing atmosphere with just the right blend of modern elegance and traditional Chinese decor, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. But let's talk about the food, it was nothing short of extraordinary. I started with the Beef Chow Fun Noodle, a dish that immediately impressed me. The noodles were cooked to perfection, incredibly soft, and with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that made every bite a pleasure. The flavor profile was rich with umami, a savory depth that lingered on the palate. The beef was tender and succulent, perfectly seasoned to bring out its natural flavors. Each bite was a harmonious blend of the beef's richness and the subtle chewiness of the noodles, creating a comforting dish that was both satisfying and crave-worthy. However, the true star of the evening was the Mongolian Beef. This dish was an absolute revelation, one that I won't soon forget. The beef was expertly prepared, with a sweetness that was beautifully balanced by a hint of spice from the chili peppers. The onions and scallions added a crisp, fresh contrast to the dish, their flavors mingling perfectly with the tender, juicy beef. The sauce was a masterpiece in itself, coating each piece of meat in a glaze that was both sweet and savory, with just the right amount of heat. Every bite was pure indulgence, a perfect symphony of flavors that left me wanting more. D Cuisine knows how to deliver an exceptional dining experience, from the warm, inviting ambiance to the impeccable food that delights all the senses.
