Unfortunately this restaurant is terrible. Let me explain….
1.) Don’t trust the raving reviews… they’re either outdated or fake 2.) We ordered online, and the food was ready in the 30 minutes quoted (The 1 star). 3.) I arrived at the location to pick-up my order, and when I entered the door a huge door bell ring went off (Assuming to notify them that a new customer has entered the building). To my surprise no one greeted me, and the restaurant was empty. After a few minutes of waiting and not hearing any movement, I decided to give a slightly louder then normal hello, to which I heard scurrying in the kitchen. After a few minutes a woman dressed in a hoodie and jeans came out and awkwardly looked at me as if she was waiting for me to state why I was there… I was about to explain that I was there for a pick-up order, before she chimed in and said To-go order/handed me a bag of food.
4.) My girlfriend and I, ordered the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Shumai dumplings.
The pan fried dumplings were wrapped in foil, so they weren’t crispy anymore. They tasted like bland pre-made meatballs comprised of chicken, and the outer dumpling shell was very oily. The sauce that came with them was bland.
The Panang Curry was very watery like instead of coconut milk, they used plain water. Also there wasn’t that peanut butter taste. The chicken was plentiful, but it had zero flavor. Overall it felt like there was no care or effort put into the food, and we could have easily followed any recipe on the internet to create something better tasting.
The Pad Thai. It’s a staple Thai dish, but this just had zero flavor besides the noodles that tasted overly sweet. No sauce on noodles, the chicken again had zero flavor, very dry crumbled egg bits, and I had to throw a bunch of siracha on it to make it taste decent. Not to mention that my first bite was a piece of Tofu that didn’t belong in our dish….
Overall this place just felt like a money grab… We paid $43 including tip. Check the low rated reviews, and take a look at...
Read moreI want to give this place benefit of doubt, but unfortunately, I don’t think that applies here.
I ordered food about 45 minutes before closing and asked if it’s too late to order and they allowed me to order . I’m always I’m always skeptical when it comes to ordering late at night because I feel often times and not sometimes you’re getting the bottom of the barrel or the food quality isn’t on par as to other times of the day.
The workers were super kind, and I appreciated the service for my takeout order . However, the food was an absolute miss. we ordered pad Thai and Penang curry two American Thai classics that I have had across Thai restaurants all across the city and states starting with the quality of the food. I was extremely disappointed the meat in the pad Thai was extremely hard and the noodles would break up with everyattempt to grab a bite . The Penang curry have the same viscosity as water. The quality of the chicken was also poor.
Aside from the food quality the flavor profile on every dish we had was also a disappointment. Both of the dishes did not look taste remotely like any variation of themselves. I cannot begin to describe the pad Thai and for the Penang curry. I have no words.
I was really excited about the spot because the reviews were good, but I’m assuming this place is a true hit or miss with abhorrently low misses.💔
I hope this was a bad day and I hope this establishment takes note of this review and its...
Read moreI hate to write negative reviews. I am a fan of people running their businesses and doing the best they can. I root for them! However, when something doesn’t taste right it is what it is. My wife got free dinner on her company. We wanted Thai and decided to try a new place. This was the highest rated Thai restaurant in my area. The gentleman at the front desk, who took our order, was VERY nice. He listened, took notes, gave advice and put in our order in, telling us it would be 30 minutes for pick-up. We ordered Shumai Dumplings, with Fresh Rolls, Pad Thai noodles with shrimp and Basil with shrimp.
Shumai was good but it was given with the orange duck sauce, which in our household is a red flag, maybe not so much for everyone else. The fresh rolls were also good, however instead of the usual thick peanut sauce we got some other dipping sauce. Still not bad at all… it was the main dishes. The Pad Thai was overwhelmingly sweet. It’s traditionally a sweet dish but this was too much! The Basil Shrimp was also fairly underwhelming with spice and flavor.
I am always willing to give an establishment a second chance that gave us good customer service, but maybe order something...
