Innovative MedSpa — Local services in Lake View Township

It was my first time getting fillers and now having gone to another location, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Jessica did not go into depth about specifics of my face and the fillers she placed under my eye actually created what’s called “nodules” meaning she injected the under eye filler in a superficial area of the skin causing additional lines. The new location was able to fix one side but it will now be a process to fix the other. A nightmare to go somewhere hoping to look better only to leave with more issues than when you arrived. Jessica asked dog whistle questions such as “where are you from in Chicago” and because I know energy doesn’t lie, something felt off. This is a question I’ve gotten in areas where I don’t look like the hegemonic demographic . Even after I followed up two weeks later not happy, she just text “come on in and I’ll take a look” no assistance with making a follow up appt. when I attempted on my own I saw no spots and the text service they utilize had someone text me back a short unprofessional message that was of no real help. All in all. Not happy. Jessica’s demeanor felt very forced and my excitement was the only thing blinding me in the moment from her off putting energy. She didn’t even attempt to take after photos. Would not recommend. Happy I found a location that can correct her neglectful mistake. A nurse of 20 years as she made sure I was aware with elementary injecting skills. Learning lesson for sure. For POC, Before you celebrate positive reviews, ensure their clientele is diverse. Even when you do a lot of research you can still catch someone on their off day or just unfortunate encounters. Many others had great experiences, but I was not one of them.

UPDATE- a year later and I still have nodules. This location has a severe lack of integrity. I’m disgusted at the frustration I feel towards Jessica’s performative nice demeanor and lack of skill. you don’t want to have to ponder over legal action stemming from malpractice, don’t come here. Unlike most Groupon MedSpas, this is the real deal and Jessica is not only extremely knowledgable, she is also compassionate and invested in her patients care. I completely trust her judgement. I’ve had her do Botox, laser, fillers, and used their skin care lines. She works within my budget and my skin finally is not something that I’m ashamed off. I never have to wait like at the dermatologist or feel rushed. It’s very obvious that when I am there she is completely focused on finding a solution for any issues that I’m having with my skin and that she is doing everything in her power to help fix them. She goes above and beyond because I believe she truly loves what she does and wants to help people feel good about themselves.
