Mr. Submarine — Restaurant in Chicago

Tired of the institutional food again I decided to get an affordable, satisfying old favorite, a Mr Submarine king size pastrami!!

Service was great, I forgot to add the Giardiniera to my order, but I called the restaurant, the gentleman was difficult to understand, but he said he would look out for my order.

When my sandwich arrived, it had a nice amount of hot giardiniera in it! Kudos for Mr Submarine!

The sandwich itself was a tad skimpy, and the cold cuts were dry, as in edible, but not perfectly fresh. We expect freshness from Mr Submarine!

It was not affordable and I'm blaming Grabhog for that. After delivery fee, "service fee", and taxes, The Price of one sandwich and a can of pop had Doubled. And the HEROIC driver gets a sliver of that money.

Do yourself a favor and call in the order for pickup if possible.

The best submarine sandwich in America. What a wonderful variety of fresh cut meats turkey and chicken. Seafood options are available too that are spelend. One can have a hot sandwich and or a cold sandwich. The hotdogs are tremendous as is the Chicago style Italian beef. Plenty of fresh produce to choose from. Catering is definitely a great way to easily satisfy your guests for any occasion with high quality and fresh party subs, salads Italian beef, potato macaroni, coleslaw and bakery oven fresh bread and real Wisconsin butter. This restaurant is very clean and sanitary with restrooms that have plenty of soap and hot water. The staff and management team are customer service oriented and take care of your needs immediately. On 5/2/24 I called in an order for two 3 pc chicken tender specials. I requested BBQ sauce on the fires or extra sauce for the fries. When I purchased the meals through the drive thru I checked my bag for the extra sauce. The attendant did not provide what I requested when asked why he said he he chose not to provide the sauce or even charge me. When I asked for the extra sauce he continued to deny my request. This older staff member needs to be dismissed or retrained. I will put a Google comment up as well to show my disgust with the service.
