Probably the best barber I have been to in Chicago over the past 10 years.

My wife took our 7 year old son when it opened. It looked like a great haircut, but the real difference in my view is that is looked like that for way longer than usual. She would make an unsolicited comment of how it is his best haircut ever and the comment was made again probably 10x over several weeks.

So I got my next haircut there and I will be going forward. I am not super into how my hair looks, but it grows fast and it’s annoying. After these haircuts it feels more put together for longer. I don’t really know why this is the case. There are way less hair shavings after it’s cut…not saying that matters but I am guessing the reason is related to quality of the haircut.

It is worth paying a premium for the right things. I am not a high-end consumer when it comes to haircuts or personal grooming….so if I think the quality at Chicago Lux is worth a premium, and I historically just went to the most convenient low-cost provider, I would imagine that most others would agree.

Also it is good to support local businesses who treat their customers well and are doing things...

Cannot express how much trust I have in Irene! I’m the type of person who has “haircut trauma” and Irene has made me feel comfortable and happy with the end result EVERY TIME. I’ve followed them from their previous location to the new one on Clybourn and will forever be faithful. Irene let’s me know everything she is doing/ putting on my hair and guides me throughout the entire process. She is probably the only one who has patience with my length and thickness of hair and I come out of the salon like a brand new person every time! Whether it’s just a trim or chopping off half of my hair she is never judgy and always up for the challenge!...

I have been going to this salon the entire time I’ve lived in Chicago. I like my hair super blonde which is hard to maintain considering I have brown roots that grow in fast and if you know anything about hair you know blonde is a hard color to achieve. Irene is the absolute best stylist ever she always gets me the color I want and is such a delight to be around. All of the employees are very nice and accommodating. I have even tried other salons since this one and no other salon compares they do the best work and give you your moneys worth. Best salon in Chicago you definitely need to try it. You won’t go back to any other salon once...
