I’ve been meaning to write a review for this spot for years! The LCR has been here for at least as long as I’ve lived in the area and I’m really glad it’s still here (i.e. that it’s survived the pandemic as well as the openings (and closings 😏) of some other fancier spots). Their breakfast food is great - huge omelettes, fluffy French toast...okay grits, etc. and their portions make the already decent prices seem even better. Especially with the assortment of sides that you get with most choices. I have had some misses with their non-breakfast items, but I’m still willing to try more of them. The staff is friendly enough and at least one seems to recognize me, which is nice since I do t go there THAT often. They’re also fairly quick with food preparation as well. The interior is meh - nothing fancy but nothing too off putting either. Maybe a few ripped seats here and there. I’ve rarely had to use the facilities there but seem to remember they could’ve used a little more elbow grease but the dining room itself is clean. It would be nice if their online presence worked better/at all. I always have to hunt for a menu using a different source other than the one on their website because it never works.
If you’re looking for tasty food (especially breakfast), and nice and quick service that won’t hurt your wallet then this is definitely the...

Today the temps began high, I had been working and walking all morning in the elements, had a break and wanted some food from one of my favs! I went in alone. There were several open tables, tables that could accommodate up to 4 people and a counter with stools. I entered with the expectation to sit at a table, relax, and enjoy some good food only to be told the only option for me was the counter. I had been walking all morning had work gear to take off and did not want to sit at a counter on a stool. So I declined and the response from the host was dismissive. So I left. Called shortly after to speak with a manager to express my disappointment in the service I received and was told the manager was not there today. As a result im here changing my outstanding review to utter disappointment. Maybe I am being unreasonable but I'll let you be the judge.
My original review: I love this restaurant. The food is so good. A true go to spot for a great meal! Prices are great. Always enough food to ensure you are satisfied. I don't know what they do to the hash browns, but they are so delicious. Can't go wrong with any order! Highly recommend!! I visit every...
Read moreNot a good first impression! I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and received one with no meat on it. I called up, they offered me a $1 refund, and I asked them to instead prepare a new sandwich the way I initially ordered it. When I got there the second time the manager was confrontational and gave me a hard time about not bringing back the original sandwich. Seriously? I am already going out of my way by making a second trip, why hassle me because you couldn't get the order right the first time? Also, the plate I got the first time had hash browns on it, which I hadn't eaten yet because I didn't have all of the correct food. I told them not to worry about re-making the side, so why I am going to bring back a container half full of food that I am intending to eat? At the very least, when I called to say my order was made incorrectly you could've told me to bring back the first sandwich and I would've happily had it with me. Not to mention that the rest of the food in my order that was actually made correctly wasn't even good- eggs were way over-cooked, potatoes were bland, the French toast was dry, and the syrup was super watery. There are plenty of better diners in the area like Cozy Corner, Alexander's, Ann Sather's, etc.- don't waste your money...
