Disappointing experience, mainly because of how bad the food tasted. My boyfriend used to work here as a server, and it seems the quality of the food isn’t the same. We ordered: coconut shrimp, satay, “tom zab” (tom yum), garlic noodles and red duck.
The appetizers were honestly okay - they were much better than expected. But once the tom zab soup came out, it was so disappointing. The broth is just not right, and we have had many tom yum in the past, and this was just not good. They basically just served us broth and three lonely shrimps in the broth. And the broth was just really really sour, in a bad way.
The red duck (duck breast in curry) was oily, bland and flavorless; it also has a very strong clove-y taste like chemicals?
Garlic noodles was salty, but it was the better dish out of the three.
On a Saturday night, we were the only people there (already a bad sign). But when the phone rang twice, the server, who then was taking our orders, had to excuse herself to pick up the phone, while the other person at the counter just stood there.
Also, they don’t seem to be serving sushi anymore. It was crossed out on all of their menus, and the sushi counter was closed as well.
Seems like the cooking here needs to be revamped. Not sure if they were ‘cooking’ either because we heard the microwave running most of the time.
Truly truly disappointing experience. 2 stars for 1. The server and 2....
Read moreI had the lunch special today. The miso soup was good, with tofu and seaweed. The "crab" rangoon was filled with cream cheese and was just fine. However, the sweet and sour chicken was simply bad. Perhaps it's my fault for ordering a Chinese dish in a Thai restaurant, but they really shouldn't be serving dishes they can't make. Their Thai food might even be very good, but it's bad experiences like this that make customers not want to return. The dish resembled, just as someone else has written, cafeteria food: Just some awful chicken with a few vegetables in some awful syrupy sweet sauce. They should take out the Chinese items and concentrate on the things they actually do well. I don't think I'll have the stomach to...
Read moreI enjoyed my experience here. Went with a large group and we ordered a variety of dishes off the menu. Everyone loved the taste of the food and the prices were very reasonable. I had the ginger wonton soup which I highly recommend! For my main course I had their special crab fried rice which was delicious and was a large portion. I was pleased to taste real crab in the dish instead of imitation crab. It was a little on the salty side but still tasty and very satisfying.
The only dish that was kind of meh for me were the pork buns. Decent, but easily the most underwhelming dish of the several that I tried. Good price as well for them though.
Overall I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for mid-range...
