Sam’s Chicken & Ribs-Edgewater — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I just recently moved to the Edgewater neighborhood and boy am I glad I chose to move here. I'm a night owl, so finding good food late into the evening, especially anything nearby, is near impossible for me most of the time. I wandered into Sam's, craving a gyro something fierce the other day, and I was more than pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The tzatziki sauce is also on point... And the was so much gyro on the sandwich, I wish I had ordered a second pita. Easily could have made 2-3 sandwiches out of it. Grabbed some chili cheese fries for later since I'm a human garbage disposal (lol) and got a HUGE takeout box filled up for like $7. I was able to split that into 3 different late night munchies servings.

Went back tonight and got more gyro, and decided to try their butter chicken. Their Indian food is ALSO ON POINT. Highly recommend supporting this...

At the tail end of one night getting a few drinks with friends in Lakeview, I started to head back home to Roger's Park with food on the mind. I've always been very attuned to my tummy's wants, but that night it was demanding two things: mozzarella sticks and samosas. Crazy. Unreasonable. You can't typically get these two items in the same establishment. But then I remembered Sam's, that joint down the street from me that does good work with their fryer. I placed a order online thru there website which I always do. I waited about 15minutes then went to pick up my order.i when I got there I said I have a order to pickup. Very rudely the little Indian dude tells me we don't have any order. I say I can show you on my phone. He proceeds to tell we don't have a website.i order from a lot. He keeps saying we don't have a website. Now he is raising his voice. I said to him I'm the customer why are you arguing with me over a order I know I ordered and showed you the order.when my order came thru then he looked stupid.
