Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Last week was the 4th time I have come to this Sonic. The first time it took 45 minutes to get my simple order filled. The "manager" told me she was very busy when I asked her what was going on. I was the only person in the store at that time. There had been other customers who had come in after me who had been served and left. She was extremely rude. I came back 2 other times in the evening with a friend. We got the food we ordered but it took about 15 minutes to get it. Last week, I wasn't working on the day I went to this location. I had a lot of errands and appointments that day. Prior to leaving home I put an order in online. I received a confirmation text that my order would be ready between 12:00 and 12:10 PM. I arrived at the drive-up at 12:15. the person on the intercom asked me twice to wait. when she finally came back, I asked for my order. she said I had to go to one of the car ports. So I drove around to the car ports. The person on the intercom asked me to wait and did not call back for several minutes. I asked for my order. She went away for several minutes. When she came back she told me they didn't have an order from me. I said I had a conformation text. she told me they didn't take online orders. Why are they online telling you they take online orders then the store tells me they don't. She said I had to go into the store. I went in. As usual, no one was at the register. I rang the bell 3 times before a person came out of the back. She went tohe register and took the orders of 3 people before she asked me and another person if we were there to pick up an order. She was going to get the order of the person who came after me before she was going to address my problem. When I started telling her the problem she also told me she was very busy. She went into the back a couple times for several minutes. She told me they didn't have my order. I asked for a refund to my credit card which was taken at the time I placed the order. She said she didn't know how to do it. She went away again and called the owner. She told me the owner would arrive in about 10 minutes and I could wait. It was now about 12:50. I left. This is the most INEFFICIENT "fast food" restaurant I have ever been to. I will never return. I gave them enough chances. If you don't want to be aggravated...

Just do yourself a favor and don’t go here. Haven’t had sonic in years and had some time before a meeting so decided to try some ice cream and a meal.

Service was horrible. There was one other car there and they had me waiting multiple times. Then the girl taking my order kept putting things in my order that I didn’t order. MOST significantly: I asked if the corn dog was beef as I can’t have any pork. She said “let me check” then a second later said “yeah it’s beef”. While waiting around I looked it up and found it’s actually a mix of meats including pork. I mentioned this to her to which she then said “yeah it’s beef, pork, and chicken.” That was extremely irresponsible and a very serious oversight. And she glossed right past it.

The guy bringing out my order was rushing like he had the ceo of sonic on the phone and had to rush back to the call. He didn’t bring out my sonic blast ice cream. When I said that he said let me grab it and came back with it. It was a large cup full of plain vanilla soft serve with some Reese’s sprinkled on top. Nothing mixed in. I pressed the red button to let them know of this predicament to which the girl cut me off and said let me get you that and cut the line off. It was mixed the second time with Reese’s thankfully. But like???? What’s the point of ordering a blast to bring out a cup of plain soft serve nothing mixed in. Just overall horrible service.

I ordered the Sonic smasher. I know fast food pictures never look like real life, but when I tell you this burger looked like it was made out of playdough. There was not a single speck of crispy bits on the patties (which is the point of a smash burger lol) and it was not good at all.

This is my second one-star review I've ever made, second to my award winning review for a Bojangles in Crossville, Tennessee. As you can tell by my one star, this place is garbage. We walked in thinking "this sit down Sonic is going to be amazing!", as we do not have one in our hometown. Little did we know, this was a big and terrible mistake. The cashier obviously had no clue how to do her job as she twirled her fingers looking for my drink order for what seemed like 2 minutes, because it was. Then after my order we noticed a half priced cheeseburgers ad which we were not informed of. When brought to the attention of the cashier, she seemed attacked and rudely told us that "they were for single patty burgers only". Then I waited a literal 25 minutes to get my food, some of our group still hasn't received their order, which has been skipped by the order callers. I've yet to bite into my burger as I'm afraid of what could be in store. Is it a burger? Is it a chicken patty? Is it even in there? Tune in next time for the answer.

Update: My food was subpar for the sole purpose of the extent of hunger. My step brother still hasn't received his order, something he ordered 40 minutes ago.
