Sushi Loop — Restaurant in Lake View Township

The interior location is very cute & the food is overall good. I recently made my third visit to Sushi loop. The first two visits the waiter was very respectful and nice. The third was nice initially and throughout majority of our stay. Unfortunately we didn’t feel like the experience ended the greatest. During our time eating there the waiter was fine checking on us for the dinner but towards the end when we were finishing up our food, one of our guests went to the counter to pay and then sat back down while we finished our pieces of food. Only a few seconds later our waiter came to our table with the receipt and some of us felt it was almost aggressively put down on the table and asked if we were going to tip since we had paid already at the counter with one staff member versus our waiter taking out payment. Of course we were going to leave cash tip before it was even asked, that’s just not something we’ve ever experienced. Some of us just found it came off a bit unprofessional when asked if we were going to tip while we were still finishing our food. Overall delicious sushi which is the main thing I was after. The service seemed like they were still working out some kinks, but as it was a soft opening, my hope is that it clears up with time. There was also a weird smell that seemed to be coming from a metal floor tile in the back, hoping that gets resolved quickly too. To the important thing, the food was delicious, we got 3 apps and 6 rolls for 3 people which it turned out based on the rolls we got would have been cheaper to do ordering directly instead of the all you can eat deal, but if you plan on getting at least 2 signature rolls per person, it is a...

What a great find! Sushi was a great price for AYCE and it was all very good quality. Menu has enough variety. Portions were very generous and not rice-heavy at all!

Questions I had going in were Q1. Is the lunch menu different? A: Slightly. It only looked like a few of the appetizers that were not available at lunch. Q2. Is nigiri additional cost too? A: No! It's included in the basic and they were delicious.
