Visiting on a Friday night was quite hectic — we couldn’t call in to reserve a table; we had to be in person to reserve a spot, and when we arrived, the wait time was about 25 minutes. The staff was kind and punctual, though, so that was very nice. We ordered Brisket Burrito and Mexican Cafe Dinner. The Brisket Burrito was the best dish we have had here. It’s large in size, and you will have plenty of food leftover for your next meal. Mexican Inn did not hold back on the brisket. Not only was everything flavorful and delicious, but there was also plenty of brisket left for the next day. If you absolutely love enchiladas, the Mexican Cafe Dinner is the right way to go. The entire plate is filled with different types of enchiladas. I’m not a big fan of it, so I didn’t particularly like it. The customer service was great, but nothing in particular stood out. Our waiter refilled our drinks on time and made sure everything was fine. Overall, I would visit Mexican Inn again, but this time, I will order the Brisket Burrito. I didn’t order any burrito because I had assumed it would be a small one, but it’s actually pretty large.

Last time was year and a half ago. It was good then but a lot better now. Had brisket burrito. It was huge ,hot, and fresh. Wife had enchiladas. Excellent. Chips were best ever had there. This was in lake worth. Server was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this location. UPDATE 6/2/2022. Wife and I have enjoyed Mexican Inn for years. Mostly the 8th Avenue and Lake Worth. Dined today @ Lake worth at 4pm. To clarify I ate it all because I was hungry. Waited all day to go. We were seated by a very nice gentleman and our waitress was very friendly. Appetizer chips were good but cold. My meal was 3 chicken enchiladas with rice and charro beans. Beans were good, but bowl was more juice than beans. Rice was enough for 1 enchilada. This was the first time I ever had to use a knife to cut enchiladas. The chicken filling was dry. Like left from lunch. No comment from Wife. Will go again but it will be 8th Avenue. 1-18-23 UPDATE/ lake worth, BB was our server. EXCELLENT. Food was hot, fresh and large servings. Chips still not as hot as should be. Very good meal.

I'm been dining at Mexican Inn Cafe all my life. Shoot, my pops was a dish washer in his youth lol. It's always been tasty for Tex-Mex. I love the fried Frito style chips and salsa. The house made tortillas are almost an appetizer in its self! With butter and salt, very tasty. And the plates are HUGE! We get full every time. This specific location ( Lake Worth ) loses some points. First, the floor was sticky and slick. Second, the way the salsa and queso was plated, was sloppy and messy. Third, they sent a plate, that was ordered with out pico, with pico. The plate was replaced but... The service at least is kind and apologetic. But still loses points. I'd still dine in again.

My meal and a drink cost me about $25. The food was good and tasty. I don't like the Frito chips and dip as much as the regular chips but it's still good tasting also. They had three types of hot sauce they brought out to our table and I did like the hottest one. It had a spicy aftertaste. And our waiter was a young man that was very courteous and friendly. He came by and checked on us a often and was quick to notice when something like a drink or hot sauce needed refilling. He went out of his way to help us and was very customer friendly and customer service oriented. For the service we got, I'd say the rating would be 5 star. And for the taste of the food and price I'd say 4 star. I'll definitely be returning and eating there again in the future. It was a good night out with some friends and I enjoyed the meal. 4 stars.

Update 2021-07-xx: After eating at Mexican Inn again today, I had to not only change my rating but also change my description.

I was completely disappointed today at the temperature and taste of the meal for both my guest and myself. I had previously given a 4 star rating but that dropped down to 2 star rating today.

My guest and I were originally headed to El Paseo but they had a sign on the door saying they were going to be closed for a week. That's a bummer because they are my favorite local restaurant. But we decided to go to Mexican Inn since we wanted Mexican food and since the food is usually pretty good there. The waitress was new and she was friendly. I had asked her for a few things that she didn't bring back but the meal came pretty fast. Unfortunately, neither meal was hot and the taste of the fajita nachos that the girl I was with had ordered were horrible. I mean they were disgusting tasting. Something was definitely wrong with those fajita nachos and they did not taste remotely good.

It was not until I had finished my meal when she said how bad the nachos tasted for a second time. She had mentioned that it wasn't really good or hot but I had no idea just how bad they were until I ate one after finishing my meal since she wasn't eating many of them. I've never ordered the fajita nachos at Mexican Inn before but if they are this terrible normally I would not ever want to order them. Our waitress never came back until the end and we got the check, paid, and left. I was thinking of this after having tasted those nachos and I realized my meal, which I was not enjoying very much, was much better than my guest's meal.

I don't like to cause scenes but I do wish now that I had spoken with a manager or somebody in charge and told them just how bad the meal was. It wouldn't have been to get out of paying for it or anything like that. It would have just been to let them know that it had reached a point where the food was really not edible for at least!

I will never order the fajita nachos from Mexican Inn now.

I've noticed service seems to be dropping as well as the taste and quality of the prepared food a lot more so in recent months. I'm not really sure why, especially since it's so expensive, but it has lately. This isn't just a problem at Mexican Inn either. It seems to be a problem in many places across the country.

I'm glad that I tasted her meal just so that I knew how bad things really were with it. This is going to affect me as far as deciding whether or not to go to Mexican Inn anytime in the near or distant future. I've always liked Mexican Inn. They aren't my favorite but they've been good. But tonight was a total 180° turnaround and it was a surprise just how lackluster and bad the visit and taste were tonight.

I'd be interested in Knowing if anybody else has had the fajita nachos and experienced the same thing. I don't think this was an opinion and I do believe that anyone who would have eaten one of those nachos would have likely said the same exact thing.

When a meal costs you over $60 and it is that sloppy and bad in quality, there's just no...

March 13, 2025, in the afternoon I went to the Mexican inn Café 6709 Lake Worth Blvd. Lake Worth, TX for lunch. The staff was pleasant, and my waiter was excellent. I ordered the small bean nachos......well I was extremely disappointed. I do not understand how this happens. When a person orders small bean nachos, (That’s what they Expect) all I got is 5 large chips with a smear of refired beans, and I mean like the spoon was dipped into a pot of beans and pulled straight out upright and turned on the spoons back side and smeared onto the chip!! Then a plop of cheese scattered on top??? No Beans on the chips just residue from the back of a spoon!!! No beans at all, just a smear of refried beans on each chip and a plop of cheese. Wilted shredded lettuce and a bunch of jalapenos in the middle of a plate. The pate was way bigger than the meal. The presentation sucked and was not appetizing. The nachos were cold, but the lettuce was not cold and wilted like it was sitting out on the counter all day. I could not even taste the beans, just cold chips and a plop of cheese!!! No one asked if I would like some sour cream or guacamole, which usually comes with nachos when you order them, so what gives the cooks were having a bad day??? The restaurant was not busy when I was there. I was hungry and could not even eat my lunch…I am very disappointed.

Very...

Went with my family on like a Tuesday night 2 weeks ago. The 5 (3 adults and 2 5yro) of us were seated in a booth for four. We made it work because it's hard to contain the kids at a table. There was a huge 20+ party right next to us that was incredibly loud, while the other side of the restaurant was practically empty. We received terrible service, had to ask multiple times for chips, drinks, never received the tortillas we ordered (our server was not working with the party). When the food finally came my neices chicken strips were litterally raw, not just a little under cooked but as if they dropped them into the fryer for 10 sec and served. We had to wait about 10 min for the server to come check on us and sent them back. I had to get up and walk around to find the manager because they never came by, I wanted them to see the chicken. He finally came to the table, didn't seem at all sorry for the cooks trying to make my neice sick or even say he would look into it. All he could say was that the waitress was new (not an excuse). About 15 minutes later we got more strips but they were only a little more cooked and they were slimy and rubbery. We decided to leave. For some reason my meal was removed but not the meal that was inedible. No one ever came by to see if the replacement chicken was acceptable (it wasn't). Will never go...
