Sunset Pavilion — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

Me and my significant other went to sunset pavilion couple times. Music was good but… food is mediocre. First time around we ordered flatbreads and they were not very crispy and hard to handle. Second time around we came we asked for them to very well done ( mind both me and my boyfriend have been working in industry for 20+ years) it was no better than the first time around. Also we were sitting in the park and brought our own bottle of wine. Well we saw and employee walking around picking up empty glasses from the park area and coincidentally a cop showed up about 10 minutes later ordering us to dump our wine… not cool after we went and spent money on food and previously on both food and beverage (since last time we came we saw people with their own bottles of wine so we decided to do the same this time). After the incident we got a lot of sympathy from other attendees, they eve offered to buy us a drink since we were forced to dump our bottle of wine and abuse alcohol in such a bad way 🤷🏻‍♀️. We’ll next time we visit on a Wednesday night we’ll maybe order a drink if that and bring picnic basket with our own snacks instead of letting...

When I go to Sunset Pavilion, I always come with my family and a blanket with some chairs. Our favorite set up is to sit on the lawn. It is very low-key, and the kids can come and go to the adjacent park as much as they want.

From the lawn, it is still very easy to go up and order food or drinks. You can also hear the live music without a problem whenever they have it going.

This is easily, my favorite outdoor spot to relax and have a beverage or two while listening to some music or just looking at the view of...

My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The service was lacking, and the staff seemed misinformed about their own rules, leading to confusion and frustration. Rather than enjoying the atmosphere, I found myself feeling more stressed than relaxed. Honestly, I’d have had a better time sitting on a bench with my own food and drink. This place needs to improve its service and staff training to provide a better experience...
