Tonight we went to this cold stone location after dinner, as we typically do almost every night. We were placing an order for 5 shakes for our family when we were told by the one of the workers (female) that they were not doing any more shakes for the night. I asked her was the blender broken because we had just purchased shakes 2 nights in a row around the same time. She said no it’s “10 minutes” until 10 o’clock. I replied “Oh ok, so you are choosing not to make them?” She replied “yes”. I find this very rude, unprofessional and a pure slap in the face as a loyal customer who drove to this location specifically for 5 shakes for my family. I expressed to her that we order shakes around this time every night and it has never been a problem and she replied “we’re not making your shakes”. Now, as a corporate director of hospitality I find it very shocking that Cold Stone Creamery would support such behavior at one of their locations. If the store is open until 10pm than every thing should be made within that time frame and an employee should not be the individual to make the decision if the company makes or loses money. It is very important to to note that we were standing, waiting for 5 minutes before we were addressed with no one in front of us. Therefore, it was actually 15 minutes before the store was about to close when this employee decided what we could order and what we could not order. It is also important to note that the employee stated “Last night we had a lot going on so that’s why we made them.” By saying this she was telling me that she remember my family from the evening before and because it was a lot of customers in the store she made them but since we were the only customers in the store she was discriminating against us and refusing to make our order. This is very disappointing. This is not my first time having an issue with professionalism and service at this location. I highly suggest management teach this team how to properly serve and...
Read moreI have been working at this Coldstone on and off for 4-5 years now. Christianas review is one of an unhappy employee, and isn't very factual at all. This is one of the best places to work for your first job. They have never hid how much you make and are upfront about how much you will make when they interview you. Every night I work I walk away with more than enough tips to make minimum wage. I was told if I don't, to talk to the manager and they will make up the difference. Nancy, the manager, has been around longer than I have and is the best manager I have ever worked with. She is very understanding and you can tell she cares about everyone that works there. I have never seen her yell or curse. She and the owners do their very best to work around everyone's schedule. I honestly have never had a more flexible job. You tell them when you can and cannot work, and they will work with you.
Icecream is great and made fresh daily. Many people don't know that. The atmosphere is friendly and honestly one of the best staff members you will see at a "restaurant/food" type setting. Come...
Read moreWarning: You do not want to work here! First they hide how much you're getting paid which starts at 6.25 a hour. This is because of tips which do not add up to minimum wage in the end! Not only is the pay awful, but so is management. They will play with your checks! I'm pretty sure they are still holding money from me that I made and wasn't paying me properly. There have been other instances such as them promoting people and not paying them the promotion pay as well as moving overtime to other checks to where they do not have to pay overtime to their employees! You will not be trained properly at all and the only ones who train you are the crew members which just pass on what the other former crew member taught them. The store is also out of compliance for cleanliness and not dating because of the employees not being properly trained. Nancy does nothing but yells in the back cursing if she doesn't get her way as well as constantly yelling at her employees. This place will not respect your school schedule or other schedule issues! John Mckey is one...
