This is my husband’s favorite coffee shop, mind you he’s what you call a “coffee snob”. Lol. I on the other hand prefer flavored lattes. I was excited to see an orange mocha latte on the menu yesterday. It’s one of my favorite drinks. This is the first time I’ve had it at this place, and there was no orange flavor whatsoever to it. The barista even gave me a little extra orange mocha syrup when I mentioned to him, and he said it’s a subtle orange taste… but the thing is there was literally no orange taste at all. Not even a hint. I noticed the bottle he used was almost empty, so perhaps the flavoring’s viscosity doesn’t settle at the bottom of the bottle? Idk. Maybe this was just a quality control issue and I was just given a bad sample. Overall, if you drink your coffee black then you will love this place. Every single friend we’ve taken here that drinks only black coffee, really really enjoys their pour overs. Other than that, ordering flavored coffees may be a hit or miss....
Read moreToday was our first experience at Concord Coffee. We've passed this place many times as it's easy to miss traveling down Florida Avenue. Parking is behind the building and the entrance is located off of the breezeway of the building and there tables in the covered breezeway as well as tables, bar seating an a couch area to sit in. The staff today was just two people and they were nice and provided good service. We ordered an iced coffee, cold brew with milk a couple of bagels with cream cheese and a tomato and feta cheese tart. Everything was really tasty. We usually prefer a fat free milk in our coffees but that was not an option (whole, oat & almond), so today we opted for whole. Both the latte and cold brew were very smooth, not bitter and really enjoyable. This is a nice place to stop in for a nice drink and is a nice place to stop in to hang out with friends or to bring your electronic device in to do some work or...

Came on a Sunday and the street looked deserted but inside were a happy, cohesive team of baristas and quite a few patrons who all looked contented and focused. Great spot for remote work and study.
And the coffee! Soooo rich. I looked into their back story. They roast their own beans and ensure their farmers and preparers in other countries are treated well, in many cases changing the lives of their partners. They also serve other award-winning beans.
I saw this framed picture of a little kid with the words Barista’s Choice. They told me the kid in the photo was one of the baristas and the coffee drink he created was the featured drink of the day. I had it and it was savor-able and so on point (see photo). They do coffee art, and well.
Music was just like the crowd: counterculture,...
