La Rosita's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Lakeland

The food has been good everytime I’ve been there but I notice the price is inconsistent depending on who is working. For example today I was overcharged for an Arizona iced tea. The woman behind the counter at first charged 2.99 which was paid with our food. Then when I bought a second one she charged over 6 dollars for one iced tea. I told her that price was wrong and she changed it to 5.34 - again just for the one iced tea. I asked if the price would be different if I paid with cash as we paid 2.99 for the tea when we paid with cash less than 15 minutes beforehand and she said no, it would be the same. Although frustrated, I paid it. I later called to see if I could speak with someone in management, I imagine it was the same woman who answered the phone as she hung up on me.

The food is good but for that kind of service and inconsistency, it’s not worth it. Hopefully they are able to address this issue for...

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in Lakeland, look no further than Rosita’s Restaurante on N. Wabash Ave. This place is the real deal! I tried the pork chop with salsa—a little spicy but not overpowering—and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, fresh, and reminded me of something my abuela would’ve made with love.

I also had the steak with the Catius again, not too hot, just the perfect amount of spice to bring the flavors to life. Everything on the plate felt like homemade comfort food.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel like a home away from home. It’s no exaggeration when they say this is the best Mexican food in Lakeland. Rosita’s is definitely a 10 out of 10 in my book. I’ll be recommending it to all my friends.

I just moved to lakeland and the 26 foot moving truck got stuck exiting my home, it was around 2pm, we decided to go eat and the nearliest restaurant was la Rosita's, we walked there, when we finish our food which it was delicious, I explained the counter lady if she new of someone that I can pay to help me, she told the owner and her 2 children, they went over top and help me pull the truck with there own truck, Thank you so much to care about there costumers, la Rosita's restaurant went far and beyond and I'll be back for there...
