Walked into the Lakeville Jimmy John's to order lunch. When we walked in to order, the cashier at the register was very rude and not helpful or friendly. I started out by asking what sandwich was pictured on the front door when enetering. In which he looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about so I responded by saying the one with sprouts and Turkey. He gave me a blank stare and said "No Jimmy John's sub has sprouts on it" At this time my husband walked out to the door to see if it did in fact have sprouts on it. It did. I saw on the menu behind the cashier that the #4 sandwich was a turkey with "sprouts optional" so I said I wanted the #4 with the sprouts. He said they didn't have sprouts again. So I again responded and said but right behind you it says "Sprouts optional!"
FINALLY, he said that there was an outbreak of E coli and they don't have the sprouts available because of it.
So, it took all of THAT for him to explain to me that they do in fact have sprouts, but they are temporarily unavailable?!
This is the worst customer service I have ever had. I was made to feel stupid when he could have eliminated the whole conversation by saying they are temporarily unavailable. I hope no other customer is treated this way by...
Read moreI have a passionate love affair with Jimmy Johns. I'm a 2x a week sandwich ordering fiend. Lately, even if I tip a few bucks, the drivers have been ringing the doorbell to ask if I meant to tip more. (A $3.00 tip on top of a $9 sandwich seems fine, especially when I pay an additional $3.50 for delivery-- but what do I know.) The last time it happened, (earlier in the week) I was on a work call and the delivery driver claimed I needed to re-sign the reciept and "feel free to add more for the tip.) It was... a little strange. I tipped another $2 and sent him on his way.
Today, I ordered at 11:22am. At noon, I thought it was weird there wasn't a sandwich. I called and the driver had apparently left with the sandwich at 11:35am. By 12:20, there was still no sandwich and I was told they'd have to remake it and it would take another half-hour or so.
I think this one might be my last. From the slow deliveries lately, to being told to tip more and being interrupted to do so, it doesn't seem like this location values a long-time sandwich freak.

Read moreThey need a better system in place for when pickup orders are ready. I placed an online pick up order and when I arrived there were no bags in the pickup area so I asked an employee. He checked a big pile of sandwiches at the end of the line and told me it wasn’t ready yet. The girl at the end wrapping the sandwiches wasn’t calling out pick up orders, only dine in orders. I stood there for 10 minutes before saying something. She checked the pile of sandwiches again and found my lukewarm toasted sandwich that had been sitting there for who knows how long. I get the lunch rush gets hectic, but that’s the whole point of having the pickup shelf…use it!
Update: As requested, I provided feedback to JJ’s corporate. The franchise owner personally reached out to apologize for the poor experience and emphasized they will be taking corrective action to prevent these incidents in the future.
