WOW! Before I write on, I’d just like to thank our waitress, Heather, for making this a special and unforgettable night. Came here on SB Sunday. Absolutely slammed with online orders, phone orders, etc. They had a line going down the entire street and a staff member walking down the street with a radio in her hand relaying orders to the restaurant. Given this was our first time, we had no idea where to go, to order online or to dine in, or where to park and she was SOOO helpful and sweet when we needed advice. Went inside and luckily got seated immediately. Unfortunately, we were at a table directly under the speaker being used for all of the TVs. It was so incredibly loud we couldn’t hear each other or our waitress and asked if anything could be done. The Super Bowl (Tom Brady, GROSS) was on so we didn’t expect the volume to be lowered. Heather was so sweet and encouraged us to move to a booth instead. Made the experience 100x better immediately. Promptly received drinks and service (even with the slammed nature of the night!). Ordered a chicken parm sandwich, large cheese pizza, and a basket of fries. OMG!!! The fries were immaculate. Crispy and battered to perfection. The chicken parm was delicious, especially with the ciabatta bread. Pizza...CRUST! The crust was the real show stopper. Sauce was sweeter but not in the “cheap” sauce type of way. Awesome stuff all around food wise. Covid-19 precautions were better than most restaurants. They had these movable plastic barriers for the bar and tall plexiglass screens between booths. Always good to see. After the meal was finished, I asked if they had any desserts. They had quite a selection..we chose some sort of vanilla cake with a strawberry filling and a little bit of custard(?) maybe? I forgot the name, but it was delicious. Even better, they get it from a local bakery who specializes in these sorts of treats. Heather told us the cake was on the house since it was my girlfriend’s birthday and we were from out of town. She came out with a giant piece of the cake with CANDLES and “Happy Birthday” written out in some sort of berry purée. She (and a nice fellow behind us) sang happy birthday. The look on my girlfriend’s face when this was all going down was magical. Thank you to Heather and Angelo’s for making our stop to Cleveland infinitely better. You guys are awesome, I totally understand why you have thousands of much deserved positive reviews and such a large local following. Anybody looking for good food (especially pizza!), a clean/safe restaurant, friendly staff, and a good origin story should consider stopping at Angelo’s. Thanks again Heather&crew!

I've heard great things about this pizza 🍕 We drove out. They were very busy, so we waited probably 30 minutes before we were seated. That's fine. It was a nice evening out. Once we were seated, our waitress appeared right away. She was Johnny-on-the-spot about everything. You'd take your last sip of drink, and she was right there with another one. To me, that's impressive because they were so busy! We ordered. I ordered a small pepperoni and sausage pizza, deep dish. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. There is an additional fee for fries with any sandwich. Our waitress didn't know that. She was like, "I always tell people no." 🤣 Sis, stop lying to customers. Also, it's written on the menu 🤣 She's cool, tho. Anyways, back to the food. For the pizza, It doesn't look super cheesy, but it was really cheesy, which I loved. The sauce was good. Some spots on the pizza wouldn't have much sauce, and then boom, you take another bite, and sauce is covering your whole mouth. The crust was a little sweet. I'm not a huge fan of sweet crust, but it didn't necessarily take away from the flavor of the pizza. Like, I didn't suddenly think I was eating dessert. The grilled chicken sandwich was covered in cheese and bacon. You couldn't even see the chicken. My kind of sandwich! My husband said it was good. The fries were great as well. Oh, he had wings, too. He ordered a bourbon sauce and said it was delicious. All in all, great food and great experience. Will I return? Yes. Is it my favorite pizza spot? Nah. Did I get my money's worth? Yea.

Got an order of the Mozzarella Sticks, Wings, and the House Special Pizza. The Mozerella Sticks were beer-battered and seemed homemade. Pretty big, square, super crunchy on the outside, and served nice and hot with warm marinara. The wings came with a super thin ranch and a good bit of celery and were cooked perfectly. I got them Garlic Parmesan, but next time, I would try the Hot. The House Special Pizza was good. I wish it was cooked for just a bit longer. The crust on the bottom was yellow or golden, a bit of brown would have been nice. I also wish there was a bit more sauce. As a whole, it was delicious. The dough was super light and buttery and the toppings were generous too. The Service was good. The place was of course packed and there was an hour and a half wait for a table. But it was a Saturday night, so I get it. We were able to be seated at the bar instead of having to wait the full time. The lone Bartender was not only making drinks for the whole bar, and the whole restaurant, but was also taking people's food orders at the bar too. Jalena took great care of us. The atmosphere was good. It was clean, and had good modern music playing, it just felt a bit small.

We went to Angelo’s after reading that is was one of the best pizza places in Ohio and even the nation in one publication that I saw online. With that expectation in mind, Angelo’s didn’t quite live up to all of the hype. The pizza was good but the sauce didn’t have much flavor in my opinion. The deep dish was kind of nostalgic for me in a way, because it tasted kind of like the way I remember pizza huts deep dish tasting like in the 90s. We tried the original crust margherita pizza and had a deep dish pepperoni pizza. We were looking forward to having their boscoe stick appetizer since that is a throwback to our childhoods as well, but they were out of those when we went. We got the breadsticks instead which came with a cup of marinara sauce and a cup of butter sauce. The breadsticks were a little bit dry and just ok in terms of flavor. We will likely give Angelo’s another chance at sometime in the future, but as for now we will keep trying new places in Northeast Ohio/Cleveland.

First time trying them, I heard good things about their food, so I said, "Why not?" So I did a pickup order. Good old-fashioned pizza!!! You can tell it's made with quality ingredients, unlike Papa johns or Pizza Hut. My pizza was smacking, lol!!! My mom really enjoyed it too and she's really picking about pizza lol. It definitely surpassed my expectations. The salad was very fresh and homemade salad dressing was very good! They have a big menu, too, with other dishes, not just pizza. Really nice restaurant in my opinion. It's super busy, and everybody was in there chowing down, lol! Now I'm not going lie, it's kinda pricey, but you get what you pay for! I did order another pizza a couple month after and I can say I wasn't to happy because I spent over 25 dollars for a small pizza with 6 slices and I got no pizza sauce on my pizza. I wasn't too happy. I will never get anything delivered again.
