Burning River Coffee — Restaurant in Lakewood

I had ordered coffee through DoorDash for my spouse and I the other morning. My spouse's coffee was good. A little watering but good. My coffee on the other hand was horrible. I had got the peanut butter and the flavor did not taste as if peanut butter. It was a very artificial flavor. I would have been happy if they would have just put a spoonful of peanut butter in there to give it flavor lol. Over that syrup they used. For the price of the coffee I felt that there should have been real flavor and not artificial. I even ordered extra peanut butter in it and it's still was no flavor of peanut butter. The coffee itself it's more of a darker roast flavor. The food we ordered was horrible. I ordered a bagel with strawberry cream cheese and they gave me one little prepackaged cream cheese. Like when I eat a bagel I want me a heap of cream cheese on it. I don't want a little thin spread. I ordered egg and cheese croissant for my spouse and his egg. Just looks sad and it was soggy. There was no salt, no pepper, no seasoning, no nothing. It was just bland. The prices are comparable to Starbucks but...

I really wanted to love this place. The woman behind the counter was super sweet and friendly, which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of one. Unfortunately, the coffee was disgusting. I’ve had thousands of coffees from all over the country, and I’ve only ever thrown away two. This was one of them. I literally gagged trying to drink it. I ordered two iced lattes with almond milk. They tasted like chemical cleaners or maybe something rotten. Absolutely horrendous. On top of the disgusting flavor, it definitely wasn’t a latte. Look at the photo of the color and judge for yourself if that is a latte.

I don't know where to begin exactly. This place is so good. The owner is an awesome individual and I always have great conversations with him while he makes my coffee. My favorite by far is the Honey Nut Vanilla Bean Latte (might've written that wrong). The coffee in general here is delicious. Everything from the black coffee to the signature/speciality drinks are worth trying out. I've also bought loose tea here to make at home and that was high quality as well. Each time I go I seem to notice something new that I'd love to try. This place has become my go to coffee shop, if it was on my way to work I'd probably...
