My dad and I went in for an oil filter for my Buick Lacrosse on 7/20/2025 around mid afternoon. The store was clean and well presented, the people working behind the desk however, were not. No greeting upon entry of the store or when approaching the desk. Both were on their cell phones. It wasn't until we walked up that the worker actually looked at us and my dad stated very clearly  "We need an oil filter for a Buick Lacrosse, 2011, CXL." Typing away, still not one word he simply states a number for us for the oil filter. No intention of helping us find it, walking us to it or pointing us in the right direction. We managed to find it after a few minutes of searching. Checkout was the worst interaction I've ever had with someone in customer service. No words, didn't ask if we had a reward card my dad had to just say his phone number so the guy cashing us out could put it in. Told us the total, paid, and not a single word more. We left, already tired from working on my car and the interaction with the cashier had us feeling uncomfortable. Arriving back home we attempt to screw the filter on and it's WRONG. We compared it to the old correct filter, the hole was smaller on the one we had bought and was completely different. Great. Back to Autozone. Repeat upon walking in the door, no greeting, still on their phones. My dad walks up to the counter, sets the filter down and says "wrong filter, I'm not happy" and restates the type of car we were wanting a filter for. The same cashier that âhelped usâ the first time sets his phone down, clearly annoyed and types on the computer again, the exact same thing he had typed before. He spins the monitor with an attitude and points to the screen simply stating "look, this is the filter" I lean in and he doesn't even have THE MAKE OF MY CAR RIGHT. HE LITERALLY HAD IT FOR A BUICK LUCERNE. We told him twice! I said very nicely "you have it under Buick Lucerne, I have a Buick lacrosse." The other worker didn't say a word, looked at us awkwardly and returned to scrolling on his phone. The cashier who made the mistake puts in the correct model and immediately goes to retrieve the correct oil filter we had asked for. No apology, no personality. Does the exchange without a word. We grabbed the filter and left. What a horrible way to represent the company you are working for. Iâve already contacted Autozone about my experience. I am beyond disappointed and I wouldn't trust either of these workers help you or guide you in the...
Read moreGot a battery about a month and a half ago. All of the sudden it would lose charge over night. I know about cars so checked alternator before taking it up there to make sure that wasnât the issue. A younger worker checks the batter with the tester it checks good. Said it had 65 percent charge. They go to check the alternator which requires the car to be turned on and the battery doesnât have enough juice to start itâŠ.. all of the sudden the battery now tests bad. Manager Ramiro was literally no help did everything to not just replace the battery and said it was impossible the battery was bad. We literally just saw the battery test good and bad within 3 minutes. We went to another store they simply replaced the battery and wallah the car starts fine after sitting over night. Funny thing is we drove the car from Lakewood to Rocky river and in 15 minutes the battery had tested it was 85 percent charged which is impossible that quick so clearly the cells in the battery were bad.
The manager tried to tell us it was impossible to have a bad battery and would not listen to anythingâŠ.. but kept claiming he wanted to help.
4 month update! The replacement battery still functions perfectâŠ.no issues at all. Iâm no genius but I think yâall had a...
Read moreI've been in there occasionally through the years and always have had good service. Today I went in there to find a grommet for a pcv valve that would fit new valve covers for my newly acquired 79 econoline. The one guy had trouble finding what I was looking for because they were a different size than stock. After asking "Michael Z" he went above and beyond trying to see if there was something compatible and after not being successful he then went into the stock room to dig further. He spent a long time looking for what I needed and after trying to match up different grommets that would both fit the valve covers and my pcv valve he was ultimately successful. I couldn't be any more thankful. He definitely is knowledgeable and his customer service is impeccable. He is the type of guy anyone working on car would want to run into for help. Thanks again Mike, much...
