Dairy Queen / Orange Julius — Restaurant in Lakewood

Still the best Dairy Queen in the country. I come back to the city I grew up in to see that we still have the best Dairy Queen in the country. I know it's Dairy queen but it really feels like a local mom n pop store they way the staff knows everyone that walks in. And they also employ all the local high school kids still. I loved to see they are still doing the same thing. Oh and the manager Heather is by far the nicest person ever!!! She was so polite and was able to help me find exactly what I wanted even though I couldn't remember the name for the life of me. But she sat there helping me the whole time. So nice!! So helpful!! So awesome!!! You can also tell the staff working under her really respect n love her. I don't normally post reviews and only will do it when it is absolutely deserved. When a worker goes way above and beyond to help. Cause nowadays customers service has gone out the window. I ordered a cake for my son for his birthday. The woman asked what I’d like on the cake and I said that if they had a dachshund, they could put that on there. I told her that if they try to make it and it looks kind of crazy, just forget about it and make the cake traditional without the dog. When I picked it up, I was so impressed with what they did. Really, I just expected a mediocre dog face, but what I got looked like such a professional job. My family was so impressed with this dog on the cake. We get DQ often and it seems to me that I can't remember a time that we were both, my wife and I, completely satisfied with our order! We get the same exact thing everytime we go... Med. Cotton Candy Blizzard for her and Med. Choc. Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard for me.., that neither one of us had a problem! Usually the bottom half is all just vanilla ice cream, or the other big thing is hardly any candy!
