Iām writing this to express how unprofessionally and irresponsibly I was treated at this establishment. I presented a valid, government-issued Pennsylvania ID to order a drink ( Iām 23 years old). Instead of taking a moment to properly verify it, the bartender immediately bent it nearly in half, causing visible damage. This was done before she even asked a single question or gave me a chance to speak.
She then passed my now-damaged ID to the manager. I waited for nearly 10 minutes with no communication. When he finally returned, he asked why I was there (I told him I was attending a concert nearby), and without any real explanation, he said, āI guess Iāll let it slide,ā in an unnecessarily rude and dismissive tone.
Because of the damage your staff caused, other establishments later tonight refused to serve me. (I am 23, turning 24 next month & my ID has NEVER been questioned in the last 3 years). I will be filing a police report and taking steps to document this incident further, as you not only mishandled my personal property but interfered with my legal ability to use it elsewhere.
I understand the importance of being cautious with ID verification, especially with out-of-state IDs, but this was completely unprofessional and reckless. Whatās worse, I observed multiple people in the bar being served alcohol without even being carded. That inconsistency raises serious questions about how you choose to enforce your policies, and who you choose to enforce them against.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and frankly, youāre lucky Iām choosing to pursue this through proper channels rather than more aggressive legal action. Damaging a valid ID without cause is not only unprofessional, itās potentially unlawful.
Great atmosphere or not, this is not a place I would recommend to anyone who expects to be treated with respect or fairness. UNLESS, you very easily let someone who is of age get a bucket of beer & bring it to a group of minors who are sitting in the outside area (which i witnessed multiple times tonight.) I hope management takes this seriously, because I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLakewood Truck Park in Lakewood, Ohio, is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy a casual, fun-filled evening. One of the most notable highlights of this bar is its outdoor patio. The layout is perfect for those who want to kick back with friends, enjoy a drink, and maybe catch a popular sporting event on one of the patioās televisions. The spacious and well-designed area creates a laid-back atmosphere thatās ideal for socializing, especially on warm summer nights.
Another major draw is the Trivia: Survey Slam that takes place every Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 PM. I visited earlier this evening with my family to join in the fun as a customer and former employee, and I couldnāt have had a better time. The trivia night is lively and engaging, bringing together people who love a good challenge. DJ Eazy, the quiz-master, is a great guy and a friend of mine since working here last summer and this past summer until last Saturday. He knows how to keep the energy high and make everyone feel welcome, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the trivia experience.
The bar also offers a good variety of drinks to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether youāre into craft beers, cocktails, or something more traditional, youāre sure to find something that hits the spot. The drink selection, coupled with the friendly and efficient service, makes every visit to Lakewood Truck Park enjoyable.
For anyone looking to watch a popular sporting event with friends, test their knowledge at trivia, or simply relax with a drink, Lakewood Truck Park is a top choice. Whether youāre there on a weekend night or a quieter evening, this bar offers a welcoming atmosphere thatās perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend it for a fun, relaxing evening out with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Lakewood Truck Park has to be one of the coolest new concepts in dining that I've seen in a while. The bar is an indoor/outdoor watering hole with really good cocktails and table service for drinks only. I was happy to find that they carried over the Blew My Doors Off cocktail from the previous menu. The food at Truck Park is the real wild card. The west side of the outdoor seating area is a driveway where one or more food trucks park -- hence the name Truck Park. Different food trucks rotate in and out of this spot daily, so you never know if you're going to get empanadas one day or Philly cheesesteak the next. They only invite the most popular area food trucks to participate, so the quality of the food is always top-shelf and there is enough variety to please just about everyone. During the pandemic, this place seemed prescient because of the outdoor dining experience. As we emerge from the pandemic, I expect this will be even more popular. They're going to wish that they had more seating.
Update: Went to Truck Park for the first time in 2022 now that the weather has gotten warmer. With the live music, 3 good trucks to choose from, and cravable cocktails, Truck Park was a total vibe. Can't wait to hit it...
