I am leaving this review not necessarily for OUR benefit but rather, because SOMEONE needs to advocate for these employees!
This location is FREEZING! It feels like walking into a cooler. I asked the staff if it was the AC I heard running and if they CHOOSE to work in those conditions.
I was told that it IS the AC & that they do NOT want to work in that temperature but that it cannot be changed. I was also told that the people who can fix the Temperature control are located at a different facility & this cold temperature has been an ongoing problem.
I was absolutely mindblown that these employees are working in that enviornment. Not to mention, the place was essentially EMPTY of customers. In fact, we noticed from the road that it appeared empty and we thought it was closed. I have no doubt the temperature is playing a part in their lack of business. Any Taco Bell I have ever been to over many many years (I am 55 yrs old) has ALWAYS had a line of customers.
To give you all who are reading this an idea of the temperature....the employees have winter jackets on with hand warmers in the pockets & in the shoes.
This is UNACCEPTABLE. I'm appalled actually.
I want to mention, there was nothing but positivity coming from the employees aside from my inquiry and even then they were respectful to the company in telling me the situation. The food came out lightening fast and good. I WILL note that the taco shells were freezing while the food was hot. I certainly do not blame the staff.
PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES WHO ARE DEDICATED ENOUGH TO COME TO WORK EVERY DAY IN...
Read more50/50 chance they'll forget your sauce, so make sure to doublecheck all the time. Even when they do give sauce, they're stingy with it. Ordered a taco party pack once(12 tacos), and got 5 packets of sauce. It's gotten to the point where I buy fire sauce bottles when I'm out grocery shopping, because I already know this location won't give me much, if at all.
This review is being left as the last straw for me. Got $40 worth of food for my family. Not a single sauce packet to be seen.
An added star because the staff is always nice. Having tacos w/ no sauce is a huge buzzkill still though. I suggest either eat in, or always doublecheck your orders while going drive thru.
UPDATE 7/22/20: Make that a 75% chance they'll forget your sauce. Dropped a star from my last review. Lol. Drove back to pick some up. It's almost a joke now.
UPDATE 10/04/20: So I tried using Uber Eats, because you can specify how many sauce packets you want. Specified 12 sauces for 12 tacos. Annnnd... they forgot the sauce again. Make that a 80% chance they'll forget the sauce.
UPDATE 9/16/21: First time in forever that they gave a variety of sauces before I even asked. I still asked for specific ones and they doubled down on those one. Whether it’s the owners, the newest workers or corporate who’s responsible. I don’t know. But I like it. Good job!...
Read moreThey charged us for an additional drink we didn't order. Couldn't tell as they didn't repeat the order considering the screen doesn't work. Add that to the no having ice and not saying anything about that either until after the transaction goes through... When we brought this up and asked for a refund we were told there was no manager. When pressed as to having no manager in duty, one of the three people standing at the window went and grabbed the manager. We were told we couldn't be refunded for the unwanted drink, drinks really... As there was no ice, making the soda warm... The shift lead then stated they couldn't do anything to fix the matter and asked if we had the receipt. I stated yes and asked to be handed the second drink that they hadn't handed yet and said I'd be doing the survey. This was met with the window being slammed and the manager walking away. We get home and the Fiesta potatoes are upside down so all the cheese and sour cream is on the lid and not on the potatoes. And finally top it off with lettuce and red sauce on the burrito Supreme when asked to not include it. Sad that the Lakewood store has fallen to apparent shambles and unprofessionalism. Apparently we should go out of our way to go to 84th ST or even further to 6th AVE where we get good food...
