We ordered at the drive thru. Knowing we had rewards to claim. It seems they do not notify you of what you have in rewards anymore, you have to ask since they do expire. Guess they don’t want to give it out if they don’t have to so they expire. We asked about the $5 off reward and the cashier didn’t seem to know what she was doing and had to close the window and ask for help. She then said it wouldn’t let her apply it and that it’s only for the app online orders. It does not say anywhere that rewards are online order only. I said fine, I’ll deal with it later and checked out. I called about an hour later and spoke to the manager. Apparently she knew about this issue about not giving out rewards for over a year and didn’t bother to ask or inquire about a fix. Seems like a bait and switch which raises legal questions. I asked for owner contact info and she could not tell me if the number she had the was business or personal so she could not give it out. As a manager this is very important info you should know. She gave an email which I am not sure was correct. These issues would not be acceptable in other organizations as it erodes the fabric of customer service and would be delt with on the spot. I hope there is a remedy to this situation as it should be elevated beyond the local owners due to the legal implications of...
Read moreFor catering, ORDER FROM SUBWAY OR JERSEY MIKES! We ordered three platters of sandwiches from Jimmy Johns (and asked that lettuce and tomatoes be put on the side), which came to $181. This was for a funeral reception being held at Mountain View in Lakewood to feed 60 people. The meat on the sandwiches was very stingy, I repeat, VERY STINGY and embarrassing. When I opened my sandwich, there was literally 1/2 piece of meat on it. The meat on the catered sandwiches was in no way how we have been used to when we order individual subs, or how it's portrayed in photos. Many people were commenting on how there was hardly any meat on the sandwiches. What were we supposed to do---we were at a funeral reception and could not do anything about it. I called and spoke to the manager this week, and kindly let her know exactly what happened. She said all they could do was offer a 20% off on our next order. I would have been happy to receive a partial refund, or even a Jimmy Johns' gift card for as little as $20, to show that they're trying to make up for it. But no, a 20% discount off a future order that won't happen, as we live in Auburn, and were only in Lakewood for the funeral. I guess the "Satisfaction Guarantee" is NOT a motto this...
Read moreI have been going to this jimmy johns for years. I have never had an issue except for today. I order online, pickup the food and then drive home. When I get home we find the meat on the beach club my wife ordered is gray. There is no way we are eating that. I call asking for a refund on it and the person who answers the phone is one of the rudest people I have talked to. She proceeds to tell me that she sliced the meat today and the brownish look on the lettuce is because we requested it be toasted. Toasting does not turn meat GRAY! She argues with me about it and she can't just "give away free food". I also said numerous times I would send her a picture of the gray meat since it is that big of a deal. It is inedible...it's not free food since you can't eat it. She says numerous times how she made the sandwiches and she wouldn't have sent them out if there was something wrong with them. After more arguing about it, she finally relents and gives me a "credit" because of my order history with this store, but that was ridiculous. Just because you made the sandwich does not mean you get to provide terrible service. Look for yourself at the gray meat. Disgusting. One of the worst service experiences I have...
