Ohio City Burrito Lakewood — Restaurant in Lakewood

Ohio City Burrito is my five year old’s favorite restaurant (mostly because of the cool skull on the sign but it’s delicious too), so after a rough morning of getting a blood draw, naturally he requested a lunch from here.

As usual, the food and staff was amazing. Crystal even went out of her way to try to cheer my little guy up! She encouraged him to choose some protein and beans to help him feel better and kept him company while I ordered my freaking delicious barbacoa burrito (still thinking about it 8 hours later). We purchased a fountain drink thinking we’d get a lemonade, but oh man we forgot about the amazing fresh limeade they have until we made our way over there. I couldn’t say no to a reasonable request for limeade after what my son had been through, so we filled up on limeade and circled back to the counter to make up the difference. Crystal must have picked up on my stellar review writing vibes, and cut me a deal that she’d call it even if I left a Google review. Well sister, you got it! Truly a kind and understanding offer I was happy to oblige knowing my review would be worth far more than the difference in beverage price.

We’ll go back here time and time again, nothing empowers my son like getting to create his own burrito, choosing to only add guacamole and cheese, and while eating it enjoying it as though it’s the best damn thing that’s ever graced his lips (Crystal got him to add beans and some veggies this time!), and my husband and I love the options and flavors especially compared to other burrito joints. We always love our food and service from the Lakewood OCB! Also, we lived in New Mexico for two years so the decor is such warm nod to our time and the culture there. First time trying and I’m overall disappointed. The place looked a little dirty but the smell was good so we were excited! We had a coupon we purchased so we were excited to share and sample some of the menu! Right off the bat the 2 employees looked miserable and it was that type of miserable annoyed attitude where you feel embarrassed to order extras.. we pushed on with our order.. we ordered two burritos, a nachos to share and 3 tacos to share. I felt rushed and since it was my first time I wasn’t familiar with the options but I hastily made my choices in fear of asking would get me in trouble lol. When we finally made our order we let the guy at the register know we had a coupon and he gave us the biggest eye roll ever… again, feeling super uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. After him and the other girl bickered over how the coupon worked we were able to leave- we took the food to go thankfully. Food wise- everything was pretty good! My last time coming to any location due to biting into hard rock solid rice part two

I just came in on Sunday December 15th at 7:10pm

I was served old white rice that was solid hard and almost cracked my tooth. All stuck in my teeth from one bite. Absolutely so disgusting. Just payed $11 bc I tipped as well to be served the worst bowl ever. Might as well go to chipotle at this point bc I see no difference.

I called my bf to tell him I have to now go somewhere else to get food bc it happen again and he said the same thing happen to him last week when he went… mid day for LUNCH!!!

When I got into my car to start to eat two separate people walked in.. Do I warn them? To not waste $11+ and all the food just to bite into a rock?
