So I came into town to visit my family. We were searching for a restaurant to try and came across Forage Public House in Lakewood, Ohio. They have a great menu, and source local ingredients, so those prompted our online reservation, which was quick and easy. At the restaurant, we opted to eat outside because it was such a beautiful, sunny day, although there was available seating inside, as well as at the bar. They've very nice wine and beer lists, both of which we ordered from and enjoyed. As for the food, I first ordered the Bavarian Pretzel with cheddar fondue, Bertman beer mustard, and chives. It was freshly baked, chewy, had those big grains of salt, and really satisfied my pretzel craving. Next was a French Onion Soup, which looked too beautiful to eat, but was incredible. We also ordered the Public House and Baby Beet & Apple Salads, both of which were so crisp and refreshing! Also ordered was an off-menu special: Chicken breast with a cucumber-and-carrot-coleslaw with cilantro, which was bursting with flavor! And the Creekstone Farms Hanger Steak was mouthwateringly delicious! We finished with a Flourless Chocolate Torte and Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream: sooo decadent and chocolatey! And we had some coffees with almond-milk, per our request, which were warm, comforting, and much needed after our meals. I have to give a shout-out to our server Amber! She was so attentive, informed us of the off-menu specials, spoke to the sourcing of ingredients of specific menu items, made great menu suggestions, and took into consideration some of our party's dietary needs. It really made a positive impression.

This was incredibly underwhelming. I was hopeful that they'd be a good place to eat, but we got there and got seated right away but then no one came over for easily five minutes and it was not busy. When they did come over, it was to bring water and take drink orders. Those came quickly, but the server took our food orders and I ordered the dinosaur kale salad with salmon, my date ordered the beef Wellington perogies. The food came, but my salad didn't have sunflower seeds or ricotta cheese on it, like it was advertised, and there was about two pieces 1*1 inch of dinosaur kale in it, and the rest was cabbage and Brussels shaved. I waited but no one came back, so I just started eating it and it was fine, definitely not what I expected. The beef paste in the perogies was unsalted and not strongly beef flavored at all. We finished eating and drinking our beverages, waited an additional five minutes, and still no one had come to the table since we got the food, so I went up to the bar to pay the check and leave. The bartender did remove the salad from the charges because it was incorrect, but I would not return here.

We had a chance to try out Forage Public House for dinner and the food was very good! We started with the French Fries, Tossed in Truffle & Parmesan Cheese (have have other choices also to have them tossed in.) For dinner we had the Chicken & Waffles, they were some of the BEST C & W I have had in a while. We also ordered the Ohio Beef Burger that was good too. The atmosphere inside was nice, there was a good size bar, and a couple tv's. It was a little dark over by our table so reading the menu was a bit hard, also the candle they have at the table was missing. There was also a nice size outdoor patio in the front, that has a nice view of the street. Overall we had a good dinner, the only complaint we had was how slow the service was. It was not a busy night at all, once we sat down it took a while for someone to come greet us, and once we were greeted it took a while to get water. We ordered something on the side with the appetizer that did not come with it. Once we got the dinner we asked for refills on water and some condiments to go with the food which also took a while to get for us.
