Better accessibility overall but the playground is not as good as the old one. The path into the park is now a paved wide ramp with railings on both sides of the ramp which goes down to all the amenities of the park. I am not sure about the angle of the main path for wheelchair users however this is a nice improvement. This wide path is connected to the public bathroom and new covered shelter by pavement and also the baseball field and the playground are also connected by pavement.
The new playground has a water pump feature that I think would be enjoyed by many children. The rest of the playground was a combination of small playground structure climbing wall there are numerous wooden stumps for kids to play balance game balancing games on there are two alternative types of swings and a merry-go-round I am disappointed that the play structure is not as vast as the one that existed in the past there is one nice climbing tree that's integrated into the playground hopefully it will withstand the use of many children hoping for something challenging...
Read moreI'm only giving 4 stars because the actual playground part of the park is pretty old and in need of a major update/replacement. I was there with my 3 year old and 16 month old, who is very active and adventurous. This particular playground is probably designed for kids a little older and has lots of openings, ladders etc. not suited for my age kids. Aside from that though it is a beautiful park that has lots of shade in the late afternoon/ evening and in addition to the baseball field there's plenty of open green space for kids...
