Sauced Taproom & Kitchen — Restaurant in Lakewood

I really enjoyed my first experience at Sauced Taproom! I had decided to meet my friend there because after looking at the menu I saw that they had a handful of vegan options which is always so appreciated. Not only that, but those vegan options sounded pretty dang amazing!

We got there right as they opened and were the only people in there for a while. Our server was kind, gracious, and helpful.

We ordered the vegan buffalo cauliflower wings to start with the a side of chipotle Mayo and oh my gosh they were so good with the sauce! I feel that when you have a good sauce, that changes everything.

I got the vegan chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it along with upgrading my fries to the fry flight option which was only a few dollars more andddddd you got to try a lot of their sauces! I really like the garlic aioli but the winner for me was the Fancy Sauce. If you guys bottle it let me know because I'd gladly take a bottle home.

The interior is spacious and definitely a great place to watch a sports game if that's your thing! It's right in downtown Lakewood and parking is generally pretty easy to find.

This definitely won't be my last visit! I can't wait to come back and try the pizza...

I've given this restaurant multiple chances over the past six months, but repeated issues have led me to stop supporting them. The biggest problem is inconsistency. The quality of food and service varies dramatically. Sometimes the experience is acceptable, while other times the food has caused illness. Service can range from reasonably prompt to extremely slow (with servers like Brian being completely absent). Portion sizes are also inconsistent; a $5 order of fries can be either a decent amount or a meager six fries swimming in old grease.

Adding insult to injury, during the Lakewood Summer Meltdown, they exploited customers by charging 16oz beer prices for 12oz pours due to their own error in ordering the wrong cups. They failed to adjust pricing accordingly.

Lastly, while the chimichurri fries look tempting, $9 for a meager portion with a ramekin of sauce is a clear rip-off. However, after experiencing food poisoning at this establishment, I won't be risking it. This incident was the...

Thanks to Emmy for being the best server ever.....

We had Wings, taste tester a bunch of sauces. Thus the name Sauced....

We had pizza by the slice....nice and fresh... perfect portions.

We had CHEESEBURGER w/brioche, beef patty, cheddar, romaine, tomatoes, garlic aioli GFA with a side salad.....as good as it looks.

We had the NEW! FRY FLIGHT ... french fry platter featuring a flight of 4 housemade dipping sauces: red pepper aioli, T-Rex sauce, garlic aioli, and fancy....... ( ate it before pics could be taken). Fresh cut fries , cooked right. Enough sauces to please everyone.

All covid rules were followed and hand sanitizer was available.

Only negative were the hard steel bar-stool chairs. It might be a ploy to turn tables it or resulted in some sore bums.

Still would recommend this place to...
