Second Worst McDonald’s in Lancaster County (and That’s Being Generous) ———————————————————————
I honestly don’t know how this location is still operating. This is hands-down the second worst McDonald’s in Lancaster County—and it’s not a close race. Let’s start with the “customer service,” or lack thereof. The staff is consistently rude, unhelpful, and clearly more interested in chatting with each other than doing their jobs. The manager, easily recognized by his oversized mustache, only seems to show any form of respect or service to his little inner circle—his "buddies" that come through the drive-thru or counter, who magically get freebies or fast service. Everyone else? Good luck.
Last week, I waited THIRTY MINUTES for a single McChicken. Thirty. For a sandwich that’s supposed to be the fast food equivalent of a handshake. Absolutely unacceptable.
On another visit, I ordered 2 sausage McMuffins. Simple, right? You’d think so. Instead, I bit into a cold, rubbery sausage patty. I actually pulled out a meat thermometer and checked—32°F. That’s literally the temperature of a refrigerator. The buns were warm, which means they assembled that sandwich with frozen meat. If that’s not a food safety hazard, I don’t know what is. That is a blatant health violation. Unbelievable.
And don’t get me started on the staff. They seem to mostly hire unsupervised teenagers who are more interested in flirting with young guys in the lobby or drive-thru than getting anyone’s order right. Immature, loud, and always messing things up—this is not just annoying, it’s irresponsible.
Oh, and those “we’ll send you a coupon in the mail” promises? I’ve been told that four times now. I’ve never received a single one. Just empty words to get you out the door.
Let’s also talk about the restrooms: disgusting. Every time. Bodily fluids, overflowing trash. It’s clear management doesn’t care about cleanliness or basic hygiene, front or back of house.
To summarize: the food is unsafe, the staff is unprofessional, and the management plays favorites while the rest of us suffer through painfully slow service and ice-cold meat. This store is a disaster, and the only reason it’s not the worst in the county is because there's one that's even more of a mess (barely). Avoid this location unless you enjoy frustration, cold food, and being completely disrespected as a...
Read moreI walked into McDonald’s trying to grab a frozen coffee, you know, a frappe. I asked the dude behind the counter if he could hook it up with light syrup because I don’t like it too sweet. Simple request, right? I’ve had other employees do it for me before, no problem. But this guy! He starts acting like it’s rocket science. First, he tries to mess with the machine or whatever, then comes back like, “Oh, it’s not giving me the option.” Bruh! If you can’t figure it out, just say that. At that point, I was like, forget it, I’m not buying it.
Then I was about to order a sausage egg McMuffin. Simple breakfast move, right? But this clown starts lying straight to my face. He says, “There’s a deal on them, two for $6.” I’m thinking, okay, but I only want ONE. So, I ask him how much for just one sandwich, and this dude tells me it’s $3. That’s when I catch him in the lie. How are you gonna hype up a “deal” for two at $6 when they’re already $3 each? That’s just math, bro! So I call him out, and instead of owning up, he basically says McDonald’s tells him to hustle customers like that—to make it sound like there’s a deal when there ain’t one.
At that point, I’m done! I tell him to keep his sausage McMuffins and decide to settle for a double cheeseburger that was ACTUALLY on sale for 50 cents through the app deal. At least that deal was real. But seriously, McDonald’s needs to quit playing with...
Read moreWorst customer service I've ever had at any McDonald's. It took us ten minutes to even be SPOKEN TO at the drive thru and when we finally could order, the obviously overworked and tired employee mumbled to me that they didn't have any of the food I wanted, so I had to substitute everything. When we pulled to the first window, we were greeted by nobody. We were just supposed to assume to drive to the second window without being told so. Even then, the two employees there failed to greet us properly, or at all for that matter. No response to my wife's greeting; he held just out his hand for the card. We handed them our card, and they gave us our order without confirming what the order was or the contents inside. A completely wordless, awkward exchange. To make things even worse we could hear the manager loudly chewing out one of the workers for something trivial. Bad look for the manager. Don't go to this location, you'll feel absolutely unwelcome and its obvious that nobody working there is happy to be...
