Dona Blanca — Restaurant in Lancaster

Man I sure wished I had read these reviews before even setting foot in this place! But since we were in the area and my kids and I were hungry for some Pupusas and other antojós.. Well when we parked I noticed about 5 people going in- so in my mind I’m think ok then must be good or this is the only place local to go.. upon entering I see people waiting at their tables.. no food or drinks.. just watching TV and their cell.. so I was like okayyy mmm maybe they just ordered or what... then since no one greeted me to ask if I was to eat in or out I stood in line.. while in line inspecting the whiteboard menu.. reading that on Tuesday and Thursday they have pupusas special $1.25 or $1.50 minimum order 5- I though ok that’s reasonable.. but wait! Then you go on reading if you take to go!!! If you eat there then it’s $2 each!! What in the world?! That doesn’t make sense.... so I’m like whatever, we’re here we are hungry let’s order.. then on the cash register it has a note in Spanish that if you pay with Credit card the fee you are charged depends on how much you buy!! 😮 what?! That I had to ask about and I did to the lady light skin/hair at the register what does that mean.. she says the machine is programmed how it calculates what the fee is to use your card.. I said I never heard that the most is $1.00 charge and aware since they have that machine they as restaurant owners are charged to use it.. but heck not have your customers pay all the bill!! Anyway I let it pass.. So we Sat down to order and mind you those people waiting still didn’t get their food... That should have been my red flag to get out.. but Im like I’ll give the benefit of the doubt.. so finally we ordered.. pupusas and carne guisado cause there was no pollo guisado...oh I asked for water and she said we only have bottle water which is $2 so I said naw... it was a looooong while until we got our food... I was about to get up to leave but said no, let’s just wait... all the while I see finally people Getting their food- upset so long and took off... food was ok.. disappointed it did not come with frijoles!!! Rice could improve and vegetables in the guisado más jugoso por favor!! The agua de ensalada could be improved!! Better taste... Nope we will definitely Not come Here again... oh and i did order some pupusas to go- sooo greasy... not enough fillings... Dona Blanca- mejora su staff, su servicios, su menú- no es bueno genre esperar 35-40 minutos para comida... Donde yo vengo hay un restaurante llamada La Compalapa... y solo iba una cocinera! Y ese lugar es rápido y servicios excellent! Comida también... y dan frijoles con sus guisado más arroz y ensalada por casi mismo precio que ustedes cobran.... No BIG...

I went today Thursday and bought India hen soup (Salvadorian dish). I also ordered six corn pupusas, three bean pupusas with pork and three pork pupusas (in total 6). to my surprise a special pupusas day is every Thursday they are on sale $ 2.00 each. I asked to the lady that help me with my order, (I 'm not sure if she is an employee or the owner) if she was going to charge me two dollar each for the pupusas because today is a special pupusas day,she told me that she would charge me the pupusas at the regular price because According to her they all have to go together in a single box, I asked her to I will set aside three pupusas in another box because they would be for my grandfather who does not live in my house.I find the lady's respond absurd and ridiculous. I paid for the pupusas in the same transaction and spent almost $ 40.00 because she didn't give me the discount for the pupusas, also I went on monday to buy another hen Indian soup, I spent in total almost $ 60.00 in this restaurant this week,the owners of this restaurant should not violate their special prices, I do not recommend this place to go shopping or to eat,they should treat their customers better and take care of them, fortunately there are better pupusas and Salvadorian restaurants in Antelope Valley,I hope to never come back eat or shop at that...

Worst customer service ever!! This really deserves no stars but the system makes me give her one. The owner, or who ever the lady is that picks up the phone is so rude!! I tried calling in a "guisado" order the other day requesting no rice and no tortillas but instead extra meat. I specifically said to her if there is an extra charge for the extra meat I have no problem paying the difference on the order. She then cut me off and said to me she's unable to that, the only way she could give me extra beef was only if I placed 2 orders of it!! Well I didn't want nor needed 2 full orders!! I said to her mam is it that difficult for you to give me no rice, no tortillas, give me an extra scoop of guisado and charge me for the difference?! She said to me "yes it is!". What restaurant feeds you what they want and NOT what you want! Never going back there again EVER. Should have lisened to my husband when he, too, told me about a bad over charging experience he had with the owner last year. We will choose NENAS SALVADOREAN RESTAURANT on 10th st w in Lancaster or LOS CIPOTES in Palmdale any day before ever going back to this nasty place -great customer serv in these two places and their food is delish. You should do the same, DON'T GO TO DONA BLANCA!! Or you too will get a taste of her attitude-...
