Jibarito Restaurant-Nuyorican — Restaurant in Lancaster

I ordered takeout yesterday from this place for this first time. They repeated my order back to me to make sure they had it right, but when I got home, instead of pollo guisado which I ordered, I had a dried out chicken leg quarter. I also ordered two sorrullitos and only got one and the alcapurrias were dried out with barely any meat in them. They rang up what they gave me but that's not what I ordered (despite the fact that they repeated the order back to me) and I didn't realize it until after I got home and they were already closed. So I called this morning to complain and the customer service was less than stellar, they took no responsibility for the messed up order, and didn't refund anything. I will definitely never go back there.

I gave it a one star because there's no lesser! We drove 2 hours for this. The food was not edible. We had 2 beef empanadas and they were under cooked. Horrible the dough was soft, and when we picked them up they folded it over, not crunchy at all! We threw them out. We also ordered carne Frita that was also under cooked. There was no meat and, the pork's fat was white, and the skin was not crispy. It was soggy!!!! We threw that out!! And last, we ordered morcilla, not good at all! It tasted like i was eating a fat jalapeño pepper, than a Puertorican blood sausage!! It was so spicy we couldn't taste it! We threw that out as well!! And 2 other dishes!! We didnt returned the food, we were already too far, not worth the gasoline spend. We went there with high expectations! Maybe the cook was new or was not up to cooking!!🤷‍♂️ but there are no excuses for this!! Money wasted! Sorry, but I cannot give it a good review if what we received wasn't right! Never...

I can only judge this place based off the fact I got it DoorDash both times I got it. I got the yellow rice roast pork combo the first time and it was very good. I also got the chicken and cheese empanadillas and it was very good. I got some other things to try and they were ok but i don’t blame that on them. However i ordered it again and got fried chicken this time with yellow rice and both items were definitely 2 days or more old. it was dry, bland, chewy and it wasn’t even fried it was rotisserie. Same with the rice and beans very dry and bland. I ordered the chicken cabobs as well and it was obviously old too, the corn roll with queso came without the queso. So very disappointing to see it’s not a consistent restaurant at all and i eat left overs often….
