It took over 2 hours to get in the building. Missed the first act because of how long it took to get in. Went to get a drink immediately once I got in. Stood in line 45 minutes. Basically missed the second act because I was in line the whole time. This was basically an exercise of standing in line for hours and hours and hours until it's time to leave. I've been going to this place for about 10 years. And this is not the first time I've had an experience like this. But I can guarantee you will be the last. I have never seen a lack of professionalism. Or a lack of planning or caring about your customers. It's like once they get the money for the tickets and they pay the entertainment. The last thing they need to do is get the people who paid that night in the building to see the show. They refuse to open more than one door. They refuse to have enough staff and people management skills to take care of their guests. I go to shows all over the nation. This is by far one of the worst venues. I will never return and I will advise anyone who ever asks me to find a different venue to see your favorite band. I've never missed the Chameleon Club so much in my life. PS.. everyone I spoke to shared my opinion that night. And about half of those people were first time customers. One and done for...
Read moreVery very disappointing venue. Went to go see Primus last night and upon arriving at 7:30 (which was when the show was supposed to start), dread set in as we could see hundreds of people standing to get in line to get inside the building. The line was about a block or two long, and there was no indication where the line ended since there weren't any designated signs posted anywhere. The event staff were very rude, condescending, and obviously did not communicate with each other, because while one staff member told us we could start going in through different side doors to enter the building, another staff member came out screaming at us and told us to go to the back of the line. The same staff member told us that they started letting people in at 3:30, and it was not their fault that everyone showed up "late". Even if that was the case, they obviously are not good at processing people, considering that there were still hundreds of people waiting outside for a show that started at 7:30. We waited in line for about an hour, and when we heard music playing inside the building, and it was clear that we still had a long ways to wait, we cut our losses and decided to leave. Very disappointing. I never set foot inside freedom hall and never will. We will not attend a show at this...
Read moreAbsolute worst venue in the state. No help. No signs to control crowd. Hundreds of people walking around outside having no idea what to do. The line wrapped all the way around the building at 830 (show started at 730). A guy working the door said doors opened at 330 (again for a 730 show), yet there was nothing online that told anyone when you could come and there was still a huge line. He blamed the people for getting there too late (the start time posted on the ticket and website said 730pm) as to why the line was so long... even though the doors apparently opened at 330. As my SO and I stood outside in the heat with hundreds of other people joking about "maybe getting to see one Primus song before the show ends" we decided we would eat the cost of the ticket and leave. After seeing pictures from people who made it inside I think we made the right decision. People called the venue a "sweat factory". You couldn't get close due to it being packed like sardines. They kept people under 21 in a tiny blocked off area even though the tickets said ALL AGES. This venue clearly has NO IDEA how to handle big crowds, lines, or all ages events. I will never come back here and I will tell everyone I know not to bother to come either. If I could give it 0/5...
