My Mom, sister, and I went to Mr. Bill's for the first time today for dinner. We were in town for a women's retreat and saw an ad. Both inside and out of Mr. Bill's was the wonderful fragrance of Super fresh seafood and Old Bay. Reminded us of being at a wharf.
The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and inviting. Check out their fresh seafood offerings, very well presented. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
We saw two ladies knocking out a tray of steamed crabs. They were having a good time cracking and eating! 😄
We ordered two battered codfish and fries and a broiled crab cake plate with rice and coleslaw. (Forgot to get a pic of the crab plate, but it was a generous portion.) My Mom was so quiet over the crab, clear indication of how outstanding the crab plate was. The plate was Empty when she finished.
For me and my sister, we couldn't finish all the battered fish and fries. Delicious 😋 Glad we had an opportunity to dine with you!...
Read moreCame here for dinner on a Friday night. We were a party of 4. We waited in line for nearly an hour just to order food and when we got to the cash register they were out of what seemed like 1/2 the menu - no fish sandwiches, no lobster rolls, no chicken sandwiches, no crab cakes, no potato salad, no marinated vegetables, no nachos, no iced tea, etc! Why not let people know you're out of food while they're waiting?!? Rude! At this point we were super hungry so we settled for 2 shrimp scampi and salad, a cheeseburger with fries and asparagus, and a broiled shrimp platter with asparagus and cornbread. The scampi came out after about 15 minutes, but they forgot dressing for the salad. The burger came out 5 minutes later and the shrimp platter came out 10 minutes after that! The food was okay, but not great, not what we actually wanted and and certainly not worth the wait! We weren't looking for anything fancy, but this failed on...
Read more1st I'll start with the positive part... Their crabs do taste good. However... I called and ordered a doz and a half Large males. Now, Im not familiar with the numbers. Apparently Larges are number 98 and extra larges are 99. I just asked for large. Should have been $65 a doz. I get to check out and my bill was over $150! I said what? That's more then they should be. She said I ordered 99s which are $90 a doz. No I ordered LARGE!! She explained the difference and I asked her if 99s are large or extra large? She says extra large... Ok so if i call and order LARGE, why are you giving me EXTRA LARGE!!?! So be careful and make sure they are clear on what u want. On another note, they were over cooked. We got no meat out of the legs, which is disappointing if ur someone who likes to get every last bit of meat outta them. Will never go there again. We will stick with Chesapeake... Much better service and we have never had a...
