Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lancaster Palmdale — Hotel in Lancaster

This review has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel which I'm sure is perfectly nice. However, the Marriott booking system seems to be completely broken. It rejected all of my credit cards as invalid when I tried to book a room here (these are standard American Visa credit cards, and no transactions were declined by any of the banks). Contacted Marriott site support and they said they couldn't help. Called Marriott reservations and they tried to book the room for me and hit the same issue and said they didn't know what the problem was but I could try again tomorrow. Tried again tomorrow, still the same issue, and I ended up booking with a different hotel in the area. So not this particular location's fault, but please get Marriott to fix your booking system if you want people to stay...

I am a frequent visitor to Lancaster coming every other month to visit my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins up here. This was my first time staying at this location which is newly built and it is quite nice.

The ladies at the reception desk are all extremely friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations.

They offer an indoor pool, fitness center, free morning breakfast. The rooms have clothes irons, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, blow dryer, and ice bucket.

Breakfast in the morning was a nice spread of continental breakfast. From pastries, to fruit, to waffles and coffee. They had the works. Only served until 9:30 I believe.

The highlight is definitely the breakfast. The rooms are clean, and comfortable. We had an issue with my son having an allergic reaction to the bedding but the staff was more than helpful, they washed our sheets in the guest laundry room with just water to rinse out any chemicals that were irritating his skin and it definitely helped. We used the pool, it was very heavily chlorinated so it burned our eyes and left our skin a bit dry but we did have a lot of fun. This place is located near the freeway which is convenient and a short drive from some of our favorite restaurants.
