It all started when i checked in on Friday 29Nov and the young lady who checked me in was excellent. I told her i needed a late check out for 2pm and was told okay. I asked her for a room near the elevator as i was with my disabled mom, which she did. Everything was great so i thought.
The next day housekeeping came to the room and knocked on the door and as i was answering attempted to enter the room. She did not even wait 1 second before attempting to enter the room. I advised her to come back in 1 hour in which she did and again the same thing knocked on the door and as i was answering attempted to enter the room.
The following day check out day Crystal head of housekeeping did the same thing knocked on the door and as i was answering attempted to enter the room. She did not even wait 1 second before attempting to enter the room. Is this a practice of this hotel, as i have stayed in many Marriott's and have never had this problem.
After i told Crystal i had a late check out she began to argue with me that it was not noted. She then tells Donna that I did not answer her when she knocked. When the manager Donna call me who was the rudest of them all. She began to tell me that it was not in the system and that me and my family ( disable mother) had 10 minutes to vacate the room or she was going to charge me for another night as i had a special rate. You can ask anyone in the room if i answered and they will tell you yes because i always answer when someone knocks on the room. Also this was a disabled room with a door bell which no one used before entering the room.
First of all what does the rate that I am paying have to do with anything. I paid for my room like everyone else. Then she tells me that housekeeping is only there for a certain time so i need to check out or be charged. Well if i were to stay as have housekeeping clean my room guess what they would have still been there if i checked out a 2pm as i requested at check in time and was advised okay.
Donna is the worst manager i have ever dealt with and i work in the travel industry. For her to tell me that she stopped what she was doing to call me when i asked for a manger, well guess what that is her job as a manager.
I am so disappointed in Marriott and will have to rethink where i take my family in the future. I promise you that I not stay at...
Read moreI have been here at the Marriott since December 2017. I had a water pipe break under the foundation of my home. So my insurance company sent us here. I thought I would have been here maybe a week. I was so wrong. Three months later... I can say this is my home away from home. I have been to a few different Marriotts and nothing has compared to this one. The staff is unbelievably kind and friendly. They go above and beyond out of their way to make you happy, comfortable and make sure you have a wonderful stay. I have loved being here! Clara, who works in the breakfast area in the morning is so wonderful! I'm going to truly miss her. All the amazing ladies who come to clean and tidy my room everyday are so nice and friendly. Even down to the maintenance man. One time our sink had a slow drain and I called the front desk to have someone come look at it. The poor guy was leaving for the day. And yet they called him up and he was so nice and not irritated at all. He seemed happy to fix the drain for me. I felt so bad but he was so nice and friendly about it. It's the little things that they do that mean so much. They could have told me the maintenance man left for the day and they would have someone come fix it tomorrow. But they didn't. And I appreciated that. I have a very large family of 7, never once did they make us feel unwelcome or a burden. My family and I will trully miss being here. I will definitely have to come back here. Because I will miss being here. I have only positive things to say about this place. It's a great place to stay. So warm, so welcoming, so friendly, and kind. As I've said I will miss being here!. Shoot now I have to go back home and make my own breakfast and bed again :( I love the Towneplace...
Read moreI really enjoyed our room. It was very clean. The staff and manager when we checked in were very polite, service with a smile! I allowed us to check in at 1:30 as our room was ready early and for that I was extremely thankful for specially having a 2 year old on a long car ride. The only thing I was little bothered by was with the lady that was cleaning the buffet on Sunday morning. My daughters and I were out there for a soccer tournament. We had a game at 8 so we rushed out of the hotel before breakfast buffet was ready to go, but luckily when the game was over we rushed back with a good 15 minuets to spare to get some food. Well as we get there excited for the breakfast buffet to our surprise they were already rushing to put everything away. :( My 12 year old and 2 year old were starving. We quickly tried grabbing what was left as the cleaning lady is just taking everything away as quick as possible, as we sit down my 2 year old asked for milk (it never fails with my little one) my 12 year old daughter went to ask the lady cleaning for a little bit of milk for my little one and well she got milk but it came with eye rolling and a huff and puff. I understand she is doing her job and trying to clean up but she could of politely said no breakfast is over there was no need for the added gestures. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable after that I thought about going over to talk to the manager but I was pushed for time as my daughter needed to get back to the soccer field and we needed to check out. I really don't think a glass of milk was a big deal that would add an additional amount of work but that's just me as mom talking. This is the only reason why I did not give...
