Lansdale, you've truly outdone yourself with your hidden treasures, and Round Guys Brewing Company shines the brightest. I'm Benjoe, and during a brief mid-afternoon layover in Lansdale, I had the distinct pleasure of discovering two of the town's standout spots.
My journey began at the Modern Male Barber Academy, where I was treated to a top-notch trim. The barbers showcased their expertise, ensuring I looked my best in no time. The ambiance was inviting, and the entire team was cordial, making it an essential stop for anyone seeking a fresh look.
However, the pinnacle of my layover was undeniably my time at Round Guys Brewing Company. As a connoisseur of robust beers, their Ukrainian Messenger caught my attention and did not disappoint. Rich, full-bodied, and with a unique character, it was a beer lover's dream. The atmosphere at Round House, their pub, was lively and filled with camaraderie. A special shoutout to Rachel, the bartender. Her sweet and personable nature added a touch of warmth to the experience. And between us, her lovely demeanor might just have stolen a bit of my heart. But let's keep that our little secret, shall we?
To the entire team at Round Guys Brewing Company, especially Rachel, cheers to you! Your dedication to creating a memorable experience is evident, and I eagerly await my next visit...
Read moreMy friends from out of town came to visit and we went out to eat and grab a few beers. This was the first time we had ever been at Round Guys Brewing and the last. The beer list had a large selection but we had to name 5 different beers before the waitress said "Yes we have it." She kept saying beers were "Kicked" meaning no longer available. Then let's talk food. We ordered what I imagined to be a German based meal. Spaetzle, bratwurst, red cabage and a German potato salad. When the food came out my friends and I received some type of pasta, chopped up hot dog, cole slaw, one of us received chili (not sure what it was) and chips. We all looked puzzled. We told the waitress this wasn't what we ordered. We didn't ask for chips, slaw, and whatever the German brawt was suppose to be. She then got annoyed and brought one German potato salad...that was disgusting. It looked like pig slop and after living in Germany for 5 years I know what it should look and taste like! So on with the review; the waitress charged us for the one potato salad that should have came with the meal to start with and we got a nice bill at the end. The beers were ok at best and the food was terrible. One more last thing. They allowed the table next to us outside to smoke. Yes we are outside but still.. on the restaurant property...
Read moreCame to round guys with my kids yesterday. First time there and the menu looked nice. I wanted to sit outside because they were riding their bikes. The sign at the door said to see a host for seating. No host to be found. I approached a male server who told me that I can seat myself ( all tables were full outside). I walked out to wait for someone to get up but then decided to seat inside after waiting a while. I approached the server/ bartender who was behind the bar. She saw me approach the bar, looked me in the face and walked off. She forgot something so she turned back around to get it but avoided eye contact. Other than the two I had immediate interaction with, everyone else walked by me like I didn’t exist. No hello can I help you nothing. I thought they were racist because I was the only black in the building but a friend of mine warned me that they switched owners. New owners fired most of the old staff and apparently now there is a group of workers and owners who clearly don’t belong in hospitality and being rude and unwelcoming is what is now being said about the workers in this place. I’m sure they don’t want me there as much as I don’t want to be there. Respect and quality care is at the top of my list as an ex server of 5 years and I wouldn’t send my dog...
