Montella's Sports Bar & Pub — Restaurant in Lansdale

The "bar manager" who I didn't believe at the time to be able to manage himself let alone anyone else, yelled at us. I understand that bottled water isn't allowed inside his bar, however it seemed to be as if this fellow thought it was an emergency and an opportunity to belittle and demean my female companion in a very loud and bossy way even after we willingly complied. We did have one shot at which time i offered a young fellow at the bar, who supported us during the event, a shot to join us. The young man insisted we wait to partake until 8-10 of his companions ordered shots. In good order we waited, after taking our shots, and deciding on a venue change I was presented an insanely high tab for all the shots everyone ordered. I objected. Thankfully the "bar manager" corrected the issue while telling me this is a common problem at this establishment. Great place for a younger crowd than I care for. Hopefully the owners, who I know to be fine gentlemen, will supervise their management a little more closely. I'll stop back for lunch to address my concerns in person. Hopefully we can ensure this kind of thing isn't a common first impression. Overall if I'm looking for a little chaos after midnight in Lansdale I know...

I’ve been coming to Montellas for years and lately, especially today, I have never been so disrespected in my life! anywhere. I own a local business not even half a mile away so I come here very often, I believe in supporting our local businesses. Tonight I said to the bartender whom I never met, “Hi Miss, how are you today?” She replied “don’t talk to me, I’m in a bad mood!” Then my friend walked in and she said “hi how are you, what can I get you?” I said why aren’t you being nice like that to me? She started flipping out and yelling at me. I don’t even know what she said I was upset and spilled my drink and told her to clean it up. She ran and told the manager (who is a client at my business) he came back and said I had to leave. The bartender followed me when I went out and she said “I know what your car looks like” trying to threaten me. Sure I shouldn’t have took it that far but how can you let an employee act that way and have no consequences. A few weeks before that I had another bartender tell me I need to go learn how to speak English. Myself and my employees(and maybe some of our 5000 customers) will no longer patronize this business....

Beyond disappointing this time. The waitress Steph (only knew her name as it was on our bill) is a detriment to their business. Started off well by taking our order and bringing our drinks promptly. Unfortunately that is the last time she came to our table. Our appetizer (which was covered in the black olives I had asked to be omitted) was delivered at the same time as our other food by another staff member. We had to go to the bar to ask for silverware and napkins. We really wanted to order more drinks and have our water refilled but she never returned and frankly, it killed our good vibe to have to go up to the bar again for service. She never brought us our bill, we had to again go to the bar and ask the bartender for it. I do have to give props to the bartender as the 1 drink I got was perfectly made. I hope the management addresses the tabletop service as this business is literally a sports bar and when the patrons not seated at the bar are not even able to order more drinks without having to go to the bar for service, you are...
