Maaaan..... I've been eating at BJS&O for over twenty years. I found them in Owosso when I lived there. They reminded me of a true Philly cheese steak! The kind you get in the warehouse district on the south side. Not those TV show shops. I've introduced well over two dozen ppl to BJS&O personally. I brag on them for years. Today i took another. My mom. She got the Reuben. She mentioned the sauerkraut or the dressing was about to turn. Nice way of saying it was bed. When I ordered my 8" the dude got it from a stream table soup bowl sitting on the counter NEXT to the grill! Why? Lunch left overs? Still astounded he didn't grill it up in front of me..... LIKE EVERY OTHER TIME! My mom would be mortified if I spoke up. So i didn't. Then there was a ghost flavor hint of butter. Mom noticed me being hesitant and asked. We figured it was soaking in grill oil. I know I'm going on a bit, it's just when you count on something for so long and love it so much it's a super disappointment to see it gone. Btw, not for nothing, but someone mentions don't go late because the dinner crew isn't as good as the lunch crew. I don't know about that but to be 100... the team working today I've never seen before. One dude micro managing the cashier, one girl couldn't flip the meat without authorization from the guy doing nothing. Last time I was at this store it was BJS&O perfection. The team was 100%! Today's team... white ppl that look liked they rode the short bus and were certainly over 40. Last time and times previous... black kids none over twenty five. That team is the most friendly and upbeat. And COULD COOK! Ok management, fix it! Im going to the city in a month or two. I'll tell you if...
Read moreI stopped yesterday October 7th, 2016 at the Cedar St. location an ordered a 8 inch and a 16 inch sub as I was driving home I noticed that there was no sub sticking out of the bag so I pulled over and looked...low and behold there was only 2 8 inch subs in the bag so I turned around and went back to the Cedar St. Location, went through the drive through and told the girl at the window that they made a mistake on my order...I was shocked at the response I got...The girl said "NO" we count everything and we made your order right! I then pulled around and went in and asked for the manager, this same girl said she was the manager, I showed her my receipt she then accused me of eating the other half! At this point I became enraged at how I was being treated, told her to count her bread or do what ever she had to do to see that she was wrong then to make my order correct...she turned around with a huff and just remade my 16 inch sub that was not made, I gave her back the 8 inch that was made instead and left.
Why would a manager just say "NO" to a customer...someone needs to train this girl on how to treat customers correctly...this was uncalled for and caused this store to lose a good customer...I will look for a new location to go to from now on or just...
Read moreI called an hour and a half ahead of time because I was driving through and wanted to know how far ahead I should call in my order as I would be in a hurry. I told the guy that answered the phone 2-3 times that I could call closer to when I would be passing through -but he said it was okay to leave the order then. I told him the exact time I would be there. When I arrived, it had not even been started. They put fresh meat on the grill for my 3 sandwiches -and it was finished pretty quickly. But then the employee helping me took TWO of my sandwiches off the counter in front of me to put through the drive through. That was really crummy since I’d already been waiting and was told the sandwiches would be finished when I got there. Then, she packaged up my sauces but left out 2/3 of my request -either she forgot or didn’t want to fill the sauce cups bc they were out. The sandwiches are good, but I highly recommend the drive through and check your bags to make sure you get everything. Finally, watch the expiration dates on the big to-go...
