Seahouse Fish & Chicken - Fried Chicken and fresh fish — Restaurant in Lansing

Found this place from Google with high star rating. So we decided to take a little road trip from Holland, MI to give a try and have dinner at this place, about 1 hour 25 min drive from our home. We arrived before 6p, but it got busier after 7p, lots of customer started to come to dine in/take out.

OMG 😳😱!! It is not disappointing at all. Hands down to all food we ordered 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. We LOVE them all!! Hamza, the front desk server, was very nice and patient, thank you 🙏🏻😊. He even recommended the type of fish from one of the combos we ordered. We ordered combo #8 with cod fish as substitute, #9 with swai fish (Hamza's recommendation - which was very tasty), chicken nuggets with fries, chicken gizzards (the BOMB!!!), hush puppies, and extra 5 pcs of cod fish. The fishes, indeed, were cooked from fresh. I love the way chicken gizzards cooked, still crunchy yet tender and tasty. Fried jumbo shrimps were to die for. The fries and hush puppies were tasty too. Wings and nuggets were seasoned well. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly. Therefore, I gave 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ratings for food and service 🙏🏻😊.

We will definitely go back to this place in the future to try another...

Food is great but the listening skills for the new guy at the cashier and the attitude needs improvement. I understand being busy, but if you’re in customer service in the food industry, you should be listening to the order that’s being placed and not your attitude when you mess up Went in there today ordered okra with no seasoning and he goes put regular okra and then when we go up and say hey, look we ordered no no seasoning not only does. He gives us an attitude because he messed up our order. I tried to pay for a drink and it had timed out before I was able to Place my card on the reader and he gave me an attitude when I told him that I had timed out could he please re-fix it so I can pay for it and straight up, looked at me and gave me an attitude and so what do you want me to do about it I’m sorry but he should not be working. Messed up my order, but he messed up someone else’s order completely the whole thing and I’m sorry but he should not be working there if he’s not gonna pay attention and he can’t place the order properly. Crack Chicken is the original OG establishment when it comes to fried chicken, while East Side is more well-known because being on tv. However, Seahouse offers the superior chicken among all of them, in my professional opinion. As a lifelong resident of Lansing, I have had the opportunity to dine at each of these establishments on numerous occasions. In my experience, the chicken at Seahouse consistently appears to be more substantial and flavorful. The color of the chicken is the ideal shade, and the staff is consistently friendly and willing to engage in conversation. In contrast, the chicken at other establishments tends to be drier and overcooked, resulting in a darker and less appetizing appearance.
